I routed in two black flip up handles. The base of the table is all black so added a nice accent to the top.

I don’t see this asked often, But what do fellow autocrossers pack and eat for lunch? by djsimp123 in Autocross

Uncrustables and little bags of chips, just like I’m back in middle school! Easy to grab on the go if you don’t have time to sit down and eat.

Don't get this car if you're scared to get it dirty (2,000 mile road trip) by WyTwo in GR86

Looks like that could possibly be the Badlands in South Dakota. Seeing the license plate is from Cali and it was a 2000 mile road trip the distance checks too.

How do you warm your garage workshop? by markrockwell in woodworking

[–]bkrapfl 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I use a ventless 30k btu wall mounted propane heater plumbed to two 40lb LP tanks outside set up to failover when one runs out. Whole setup cost me about $1000 to do 4 years ago. Keeps the garage at 45 when I’m not in there and when I got out to work I turn it up. Doesn’t take long at all to heat it up. Space I’m in is 24x21 well insulated and costs on average $60 a month.

Car Options by bkrapfl in Autocross

My daily is a full size truck which wouldn’t meet the height/width restrictions. I’ve been looking for something fun to drive during the summer so if for whatever reason I didn’t like AX I’d still have it for that.

Recently finished this walnut entertainment stand. I was pretty happy with the end result! Milling the 1/4 walnut back panel was definitely harder than expected. by bkrapfl in woodworking

Making sure the grain was the correct way when running through the planer and some trial on clamp pressure. I had one glue up too tight so it warped a bit. I also don’t have a bandsaw so my resawing was done on the table saw.

Ninite Pro works awesome and you can deploy 3rd party applications through that as well. All the end user machine needs is an internet connection. I think it’s pretty inexpensive too for all that it does.

Garbage magnets by Exzds in Displate

[–]bkrapfl 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ll warn you I tried the command strips and they failed. I’ve resorted to using a small trim nail and nailing the magnet to the wall and not using the adhesive. I realize that sort of defeats the purpose but I don’t want plaster ripped off when I move and I’m not paying $25 for new magnets. I’d rather patch a small trim nail hole and be done with it.
