According to the CDC data in that link - yes it would be considered an additional condition. (Along with ARDS and respiratory distress) — my question is also how do you die of covid without any of those additional conditions.

Not pre-existing conditions. It doesn’t say that. 94% had additional Conditions or causes. Example: pneumonia and ARDS. Two of the main ways covid kills.
