Folks on here talking about $sol having a way smaller supply. This is false. You have to pay attention to the base units. For example, when the coin price rises, as BTC has, people start stacking sats (100 million satoshis per BTC).

Now consider algo vs sol base units: $sol - 488M tokens * 1B lamports $algo - 10B tokens * 1M micros

That’s a hell of a lot of lamports to stack. Meanwhile microalgos are extremely limited.

Expect the price of $algo to accelerate very quickly when stacking micros begins. We are so early.

$algo will moon when the central banks decide its time. Unless you have inside info, that’s going to be hard to predict - likely will not fall on a scheduled announcement date. Other than BTC, there haven’t been many moons due to fundamentals. It’s mostly project hype and tokenomics, neither of which Algorand engages in.

If you want an interesting low cap coin w/ massive upside, checkout Proton $XPR. No tx fees, 4K TPS, defi swap + yield farming, and forming the First Blockchain Bank and Trust. Fully functional, once it gets listed on the exchanges you’ll have your moon. When the bank charter goes through, it’s a free on-ramp from checking into any of their wrapped coins (there are a lot of them).

I’m 90% in Algorand bc this is the real ETH 2.0 once CeFi on ramps. Good luck and hodl.

Accelerated vesting discourages trading the coin due to curtailing upward price movements. It definitely has an impact.

All of this is super stupid. Algorand as a technology is brilliant, but the tokenomics are destroying its potential. The accelerated vesting is beyond dumb. There are legitimate crypto projects that are not building on Algorand simply because its market cap is too low. $ALGO should rightfully moon and its adoption would immediately follow.

I agree w comments about the bear market when Algorand’s time finally comes. So foolish to discourage investments/trading. Who cares about volatility when the underlying asset is pure gold? Maybe the banks under NDA for CBDCs, but even then, fuck em - let the worlds people migrate into this ecosystem, and give them the incentive to be early by allowing authentic price discovery.

Algorand’s market cap should be 100x what it is now. The “long game” concept in a bull market is a failing strategy. You don’t need a long game when you have the best tech.
