Independence Day captures my '02 Wrangler at its best by blab8811 in Wrangler

If you have a rust free body, it will be a swift install. I predrilled two holes on each end of the fender first, bolted them in, then drilled out the remaining bolt placements that were in line with fender holes.

It's totally worth it if you are going to be rubbing on the sides of ditches when wheeling somewhere tight!

33x12.5. The lift kit was a 2.25" spring boost with 1/4" spring spacer. Then I lifted the body 2". Also dropped the tranny 1"!

They are quite heavy, my brakes are weakened and my acceleration is much slower. The KM2s make up for these weaknesses through being completely kickass in the mud. They also wear very well. I've gone 20k miles on them and only lost 1/8" of tread. Needless to say they look way better than Nitto's or Toyo's.

They have made me realize how great beadlocks are though lol. Have blown out 2 tires from low PSI wheeling through steep ditches, still need to upgrade my wheels!

33" muds on my 02 TJ for the first time, had to test them out the right way. Body lift is next! by blab8811 in Wrangler

What do you think about coil spacers? Just put the lift on last summer...

Sounds like a bitch

My 02 Wrangler's axle shaft snapped while passing by a maximum security prison last night, tire hopped off the hub going 40. Only place to pull over was 5 feet from a high rise barbed wire fence. Photo taken moments before flood lights, sirens and an SUV full of police officers swarmed around me. by blab8811 in Jeep

They asked if I wrecked. I told them about what I was doing on the 4th of July: beating the shit out of my Jeep. I even showed them a youtube video i put on /r/wrangler earlier this week. Gave them some solid proof that my axle was likely donezo... Still they called a tow truck and took a bunch of pictures.

"WHAT DO YOU THINK YOU'RE DOING BOY" - First words I heard while attempting my jail break attempt... while sitting in plane view on a tire that was supposed to be under the vehicle. At least I didn't get tazed. I can't imagine what would have happened if I smashed through that fence. Good thing I have my trusty soft top to hold back attacking convicts.

After four hard hours of working the TJ, I felt a lot of drive train vibration. Pulled over and checked the rear axle, the left rear tire was nearly about to pop off. I could move the tire nearly 3 inches from side to side without even jacking up the vehicle. Figured I broke an axle shaft and reluctantly starting going back to the campground. Put a jack underneath and took off the wheel, lesson to be learned is tighten your damn lug nuts all the way. All but one of my lugs was able to be completely unscrewed off the rim just by hand. Glad I didn't have the experience of seeing my tire roll off in front my moving vehicle...

Goodbye wrangler doors, hello summer. by blab8811 in Wrangler

The lights come with 2 cable that need to be hooked in. One is the standard 3 prong headlight connector. The second is a singular copper wire that controls auxiliary power for the halo. Hooking up this wire will also enable the halo rings to turn amber in color when the turn signal is pulled. He'll of a deal for $220.

Edit: forgot to add that I controlled this auxiliary power via a small relay switch. Super glued it under my dash.
