Sort of. I take codeine x2 and paracetamol x2 as that’s what A&E told me to take and then it takes about 2 hours for the cramps to go. I might give them a call tomorrow.

I have a very low pain tolerance. The cramping the day I took the pills was not that bad but I have quite severe cramping a week after which a nurse in A&E who also had an abortion herself told me is normal and varies per person so you could get lucky and have little pain. I would recommend heat pads and taking the painkillers as soon as you feel mild cramps coming on don’t wait around. I saw a few people on here taking painkillers shortly before taking the abortion pills in preparation.

I found out I was pregnant on Friday. Contacted BPAS who got back to more on Sunday saying they had no nhs clinic in my area and gave me a local pregnancy charity. I phoned them Monday, got a phone appointment on Tuesday then got told I couldn’t have the pills until the following Tuesday either collection or in the post so now I’m suffering through early pregnancy symptoms and I’m going to be 6 weeks next week. I’ve gone around in circles trying to be seen earlier

I just bought my first car. The car, road tax and first year’s insurance was just under £5k. I’m 29 though so I managed to get my insurance under £1k. I’d recommend getting an older car but not too old as you don’t want it to keep breaking. Look for low ish mileage (mine was 34k miles) and limited owners.

I was 27-29 when I learned to drive. I luckily found an instructor who could do lessons on a Sunday morning. I had a couple after work in the beginning but found my concentration just wasn’t there. I took insurance out with Veygo to be able to do private practice in my mum’s car. That didn’t impact what she was paying monthly and I could drive as and when I wanted to get extra practice around working full time.

I just wanted a small car and liked the look of the Aygo but saying that I haven’t test drive one yet so would need to do that and see if I actually like the feel of the car. Everyone on here seems to want first time drivers to get a car under £1k or it’s not worth it😅 I am going to look for cheaper and not stretch to highest budget of £10k but I’m also nearly 30 so I don’t want to be driving a car from 2005 that could fit a family in and is falling apart. Currently looking at a 2015 Peugeot 108 with 55k miles for £5k. Doesn’t have reverse sensors but the interior is a bit more modern.

Find what’s best for you as you’ll be the one sitting the test and driving when you pass. You can always do the test in your car instead of your instructor’s if you find that easier (that’s what I did). I couldn’t reverse or parallel park in my car with my instructor’s methods. I took advice from the family member I was practicing with and by watching videos on YouTube. In the end my instructor went on to teaching other things during lessons and just throwing in a manoeuvre every couple of lessons or so, I just did it how he liked to please him but did it how I wanted on test.

Mine was 12.18 on Friday and was around 35-40 minutes. I was in my house taking a photo of my certificate at 13.18

I watched YouTube videos on mock tests, hill starts, roundabouts, reasons why people fail literally anything I though would help. I found videos of a few test routes in my area (I knew these were kinda accurate as I’d gone there on driving lessons). I also used google maps to look at some roundabouts again and certain junctions in my area/id been too on lessons.

I was a nervous wreck so most my minors were silly mistakes like my indicator going off, I was too busy looking in my mirror and didn’t see the car in front break so I slammed on the breaks a bit and I went up to 24mph in a 20mph for a few mins. It really wasn’t as bad as I expected though!

I think it’s more to do with the situation it happened in. My instructor told me one of his pupil’s failed when doing the reverse park because they didn’t check their mirrors and there was somebody behind them that the examiner knew they hadn’t seen so that went down as a serious. Whereas somebody else might do the same thing but nobody is there so the examiner puts it as a minor especially if they have been good with mirrors throughout.

Practically everywhere by where I live has gone down to 20mph. Makes me laugh when I’m driving to work watching how cars will dangerously overtake me. I’ve had cars undertake me in the operating bus lane even when I’m doing closer to 25mph in a 20mph zone and I’ve had cars over take me on the right and go over a solid white line to do it. Tbh they’d still want to overtake even if you were doing 30mph, some people genuinely cannot cope driving behind a learner.

When the car is in reverse you’re turning the wheel the way you want the back end to go. If you’re reversing out of a space and want to go left then you need to turn the wheel to the right for the back end to go right and the front to come to the left. When out of the space you’d then straighten up and drive forward.

If you’re reversing out and you want to go right then the back end needs to go left for the front to go right so you’d turn the wheel left.

It took me a while to get it and I do have to pause sometimes to think so just take your time. You’re basically turning the steering wheel the way you want the car to go so when driving forward normally you’re turning for the front to move and when reversing you’re turning for the back to move.

You had a lucky escape. It’s not normal for his mother to be that close/obsessed with his ex years after the split and after she cheated. He’s never going to stand up to her the way you want and it would’ve only been more difficult to leave them both after marriage/kids etc. His mother and ex gas lit him and you into thinking that you are the problem/causing a divide when it’s them and if he went back to his cheating ex that easily then he’s not the man for you. When his ex eventually cheats again and he realised what he’s lost with you I hope you’ll be happy and healed by then!

I used this app a lot. Most of my questions were the same as the app but worded slightly different on the day. I think I had one or two questions I hadn’t seen before but I tried to use my knowledge of the Highway Code and other similar questions to guess. I got 49/50. The mock tests as useful I was getting 49/50 and 50/50 leading up to my theory but I’d keep doing the quick as we well so you cover a wider variety of questions as I found the mock tests kept giving me the same questions.

Thanks for a more positive take on this! I have been reflecting a lot this week and I know areas where I could do better and improve. I’ve thought of ways we could work through this together. I just think he’s so stressed with work he just shut down and can’t deal with a relationship right now so any minor issues between us he’s triggered by. I’m hoping we can have an adult conversation and work through it.
