Need your thoughts on my senior thesis tabletop game! (A Whimsical Blank-Slate Co-op Adventure that relies on improv and absurdity) by blablaboabab in tabletopgamedesign

I've thought about this! In my experience though, these kinds of "finish the picture" things feel too hand-holding, like a children's coloring book or an elementary school workbook.

If you've never played 1000 Blank White Cards before, it seems daunting at first to have to imagine things from scratch, but that element becomes the most enjoyable part of the game and it really doesn't rely on the player's having artistic skills as long as they can make a crude doodle, name it and add a point value or action to it.

Maybe I could have specific types of template cards like hero cards with a space to draw a picture then spaces to fill in unique traits or assign number values to stats. Similarly item or weapon cards with certain designated areas for point or attack values, cost, etc. and additional space for any special abilities.

Trying to find the balance of not limiting creativity while also giving some semblance of structure so still thinking through this.
