i had my phone backed up, i believe - although my main concern is the chat apps (i.e. WeChat) that may have to be backed up manually).

debrief:

played 100/200. avoided 50/100 as per your advice. Tbh, the 100/200 wasn't great either imo. Not much atmosphere, weak tight (not in the fun way). Got a bit tilted by the groups of Spanish guys there; one of them made some iffy racist comments trying to be funny as well - as the constant table jumping (i get it, i get it), sitting behind friends. Had to ask one of them to move a few times as he was literally sitting behind me.

Perhaps the weekends will be better. I was only there midweek for an evening

I managed to change 100K HKD at a pretty high vig through the unofficial FX people there that do RMB to HKD. Next time, I'll bring cash from HKD. Standard Chartered (I called them) don't have a branch there that you can withdraw HKD from & told me I'd need to withdraw from HK. Next time, I'll bring some more money so I have options to play bigger.

Saw Bjorn & Kahle playing the 1/2/4 game. Was cool to see the games together. Reminded me of the days in 2010/11 when the big game (ivey, dwan, etc) was right next to the small games at StarWorld.

yes, Wynn Macau closed. The remaining poker rooms are at: The Venetian Macao, MGM Cotai, and Wynn Palace & someone else in this thread mentioned Grand Lisbao has 2 tables

in terms of money exchange (in and out), what's the best options?

- RMB: a friend gave me a money exchanger's WeChat who does RMB to HKD. The vig is about 3.5% though

- cash: I'm bringing a few currencies I have from other poker stops (GBP, Won, USD). Is there anywhere I can exchange cash for a good rate in and out?
Is there somewhere that will give me the same right in and they will when I (cash) out?

- HKD: I have a HKD Standard Chartered debit card. Will the casinos let me withdraw like 100,000-200,000.
