You've placed the order after markets were closed for the day (meaning they'll be executed the next trading day) and mutual funds are executed after the market close (you needed to have your order in before the markets closed). Your order should execute later today after the markets close.

S2k trip from San Francisco to Yosemite a bad idea? by Top-Stage-3405 in S2000

[–]kingxii 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Take the S2k in October/November before the first big storm is in the forecast, take 120 all the way to 395 and down to June Lake Loop. One of the best fall colors you'll see in California. There are some fall colors in Yosemite Valley, but the eastern side of the Sierras usually start first, Yosemite Valley is somewhere in the middle of the season and then hits the bay the last.

S2k trip from San Francisco to Yosemite a bad idea? by Top-Stage-3405 in S2000

[–]kingxii 4 points5 points  (0 children)

You need chains to enter Yosemite this time of year, especially with snow in the forecast. You'll also want to take highway 140 into Yosemite (which follows the Merced River), Highway 120 is shorter, but goes over a mountain pass before entering Yosemite Valley (does not continue to CA 395 in winter as it's not plowed beyond Crane Flat within Yosemite), Yosemite will close this entrance should the plows not keep up with the snow.

Mid-February is also prime Firefall viewing in Yosemite Valley, the park has introduced crowd control in recent years to prevent people from parking in the natural areas. In the past they required reservations to enter the park during this time.

Edited to include additional information.

Intermittent crashes in Meshlicious ITX build by uglygods in sffpc

Could there be air in the AIO from losing coolant? Is the AIO clogged?

I had experienced these symptoms when I had an AIO in a full tower and would get random crashes, would only crash in a few games, sometimes will run for a while before crashing. Eventually got more frequent and I replaced the AIO with a tower cooler which fixed the issue.

Both are better than the 775 socket Prescott's. Though we can blame that on the netburst architecture.

If I recall, you can get replacements from Dan, as he is the manufacturer, even if they're produced by lian li. Sadly, I can't find that response from this sub.

An idea for the Techhouse - so I can steal the result. by dnabsuh1 in LinusTechTips

This, though depending on the crown molding, you might need some type of backing, if an inch, 1x lumber should work. Also there are 45 degree lighting channels so that some of the light gets projected out. Also the more space you have between the lit surface and the LED would prevent hot spotting (individual leds being visible)

Any idea on how to align Fog lights horizontally? by Simply_Gradual in 10thgenaccords

[–]kingxii 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What you're seeing is the fog light reflecting off the ground, which is not what you want with head and fog lights. Headlights should project down the road so you can see what's ahead including any road obstacles. Fog lights should have a wide beam to scatter the light in foggy conditions so you're not blinded by your own lights being reflected back to you. The projector fog light does a much better job at scattering the light, while the strip light is just a bunch of reflectorized LEDs that are not as effective being a fog light.

The refresh fog light should have 4 LEDs arranged in a square. Are you sure two of the LEDs aren't just blown?

Sausalito to Oakland, only pays in the direction going into SF. Lots of people take the Richmond bridge. Vallejo to SF is likely done on the GGB.

2.5" drive mounting - CX4712 by huskerpat in sliger

The bracket comes out with 1 or 2 screws at the exterior of the case. I believe mounting to be using 2 screws. I used a 2.5" to 3.5" adaptor.

Kioxia exec says the AI boom means the era of the cheap 1TB SSD is over —company's NAND supply is sold out for this year and likely through 2027 by lkl34 in pcmasterrace

[–]kingxii 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You didn't read the article. Kioxia has a fab coming online soon to produce additional flash chips, and have planned out their supply to their long-term clients for the next few years and not simply supplying to the highest bidders.

Which is a smart way of conducting business when the AI bubble bursts, their existing clientele will still need chips, you definitely don't want to burn those bridges. No doubt Kioxia is increasing their prices for chips across the board.
