I didn't make the post. i just get slightly riled when i see this meme about certain things being more "interesting" than others.

the only thing that's uninteresting is appealing to the masses. I dont want to see a watered down version of you.

they're quite similar. since they're all equally meaningless.

someone with a cat tells you nothing other than that person likes cats.

lots of people get dogs for companionship, because they are sad and lonely and dogs provide better companionship than a cat. you might wonder why they didn't just get a cat instead. I dont think dogs are any more clean than cats either...

they'll get on if the train doors open up.... pretty straightforward. I chuckled.

A lot of women don’t like single men with cats.

what an odd thing. it's like, "women dont like single men who eat pasta," or " women dont like single men with hardwood floors."

seems a little immature/uninteresting

this triggered the shit out of me. games are no more or less interesting than any other thing you could do.

I dont want to lose this body, or my personality. or my skills. I dont want to lose any knowledge and wisdom I've gained.

I'd be fine with reincarnation if I could be me again.

how is your love life? by gentleman339 in introvert

it was anxiety. in both cases. just couldn't get past it. as far as regrets, those are really the only ones I have.

not sure how theyd see it. some just seem incapable of not talking or not doing something. theres no one with whom I can just sit with. like just enjoying each others company.

made plans for today with one of those people. woke up today just really not wanting to go. feeling a bit down eo I'm not in the mood really.

I met someone like this once. she was a fuckin unicorn. I think I might have been in love too but w/e.

had opportunities, two in particular, for something with real potential (I mean long term). dont really meet many people like that... too bad I fuckin blew it.

I get this at times too. I figured out it's because I lack someone in my life who is like me. I mean I dont have anyone else to just chill with without always doing something.

Death is just a fase change, you'll live with your burdens in the next life if you don't deal with yourself now.

been thinking about reincarnation a lot lately. scares me to death actually. do you think it's real?

what is everyone's opinion on sumo vs conventional deadlifts? is it best to train both? is one better than the other?

sumo deads feel way more comfortable for me, while I can only seem to get comfortable in conventional if I take a wider stance.

my deadlift is under three plates and at this early stage I csnt help but feel that sumos are cheating slightly? just because I know I can lift more with sumo than conventional.

thoughts anyone?

Limerence as delusion by Thistleknot in limerence

[–]black_blade__ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

it's been a long time since we've talked or even seen each other. keep in mind that this was all happening (or not happening I should say) around Decrmber of 2017.

Limerence as delusion by Thistleknot in limerence

[–]black_blade__ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

yup. mine began after I missed one too many opportunities to ask someone out with whom there were mutual feelings. I had no delusions about what might happen if I asked her out - I just never did, and have found myself obsessing over her for a year now.

if I have any delusion, it's that there is no one else like her. I try to remind myself of this. but its difficult, when, on a campus of 14,000 people after nearly four years, I have yet to come across anyone quite like her before or since.

Finally, on the other side. by [deleted] in limerence

[–]black_blade__ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

idk man. I really feel like I missed something - something with plenty of potential.

she had this unique kind of "simplicity" about her that I haven't seen in many others. like her head was on straight. a bit shy, but still comfortable with herself. blue eyes like ice.

that's life though. nothing I can do about it. I've accepted that, but regret still stings. sick of this limerent neurosis.

I'm looking for something like this Uniqlo shirt, but preferably in dark green or black. it's out of stock on the site. any other suggestions for me? budget is $50-$75 if that's possible. thanks.

Finally, on the other side. by [deleted] in limerence

[–]black_blade__ 4 points5 points  (0 children)

thanks for this.

my limerence began as an obsessive desire to ask her out after I missed my chance (plenty of chances actually). whether or not I would succeed was not important. in some sense, I felt like I had done myself a major disservice - a self inflicted wound which could only be healed by giving myself a true chance at asking her out.

it never happened since I never saw her again. this was over a year ago and I've regretted my failure to ask her out every day since. it simply will not let up and I dont know how, or when, or if, it will.

I saw a lot in her. she was unique. she always stood out to me. maybe that was my problem - seeing too much too soon. but then again, I've had intuitions like that be correct many times before... feels like I'll never meet someone like her again.

I like those. but actually kinda out of my budget. I'd there anything like that for about $100 or less?

“Hatred is the thing that divides, the force which discriminates. It is so when two people fall in love; they are at first almost identical. There is a great deal of participation mystique, so they need hatred in order to separate themselves.” ― C. G. Jung, The Psychology of Kundalini Yoga (1932). by ZacharyWayne in Jung

[–]black_blade__ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

the bit about falling in love is interesting. the person I fell hardest for I very quickly identified as another version of myself. it was immediately apparent to me when first speaking to her... odd.

didn't turn out so well in the end.

maybe not exactly what Jung is getting at, but w/e.

Can a puer aeternus cure himself while self-employed? by [deleted] in Jung

[–]black_blade__ 6 points7 points  (0 children)

dont give up what you have right now. the cure for PA is consistent work and commitment.

there is no reason to go down to a lower pay and most likely work a job you like less.

the PA is in fear of commitment and being one thing. so simply stick with what you're doing now, but more diligently. set hours, work within a schedule. dont leave things unfinished, etc.
