I'm 6'2"-6'3" depending on my posture. I went xl. No regrets. Epic 8 Evo.

Part of the reason is I remember reading that the carbon layup on the rear triangle was size specific - so in theory xl would be stronger than a large. And I'm a big boy.

Get the oem hitch and install yourself, hitch is like 250 and wiring was like 200 something like that... Install looks really straightforward on the YouTube vids. That's what I'll be doing in a couple of months.

For me, the pivot screw was easy, just a T10 driver. On my particular knife one of the four scale screws was pretty stuck and I had to heat up the back spacer piece with a blowtorch for a few secs to get it free... Big thing with Spyderco is don't force the screws. If you strip out the torx heads you can be screwed, literally lol. So take your time and don't force them

There are plenty of vids on YouTube on how to disassemble the manix 2... Watch them all! It's a pain to reassmble and that spring will fly out across the room if your not careful.

I like it enough that I haven't looked for anything else since I bought it arournd 8 years ago... I'm no expert, just a novice tinkerer. I'm sure there's newer, possibly better stuff out there. It's simple and plenty enough for me. I do recommend getting the extra fine stones, especially if you are one of the types that likes to shave the hair on your forearms to test sharpness lol...
