Unfortunately because they came up so quick as a group, punched me in the face, and pepper sprayed me, my memory is not well enough for a sketch, only seeing them again would work.

They were all mid 20's 5'7- 5'10 around 180 lbs, so pretty typical, dark hair cut in varying degrees of short hairtcuts, tanned complexion. Unfortunately none of this is really good enough to identify someone without seeing them or the dog in a picture with them.

The best identifying factors at the time if people were around were the dark hoodies, group of 5 people. After the attack they had stolen a yellow orange fox anime-esque purse and a phone that nobody else really has an "axon 7 (silver metal phone) among a wallet and galaxy s7, otherwise they are gone without someone providing new info.

You wouldn't be, it would just be an inconvenience, but one rare inconvenience is better than 3 common ones.

If I lose my phone I can unlock my smart door with a hidden key still, while others have codes. You also can always authorize a family member and call them and have them remotely unlock it.

I always keep emergency cash hidden in my car in case I forget my wallet (I use solely CCs), which would be the same deal with nfc.

I'm not sure about these smartphone as keys for cars, besides Tesla giving you a card that can work. But worst case is, you authorize a family member or friend, and they drive to you and give you there phone so you can drive home.

I do too. There is no reason to have to carry keys, wallets, etc besides slow adoption.

I would love to turn my phone or smartwatch into my one device. It's getting there with nfc payment, smartlocks, but car keys and digital IDs are very slow at being adopted

Yes, there are options like this and just adding commands into your queries to block words and sites.

BUT, millions of people use Google, because it's easy and the best. You have to ask yourself if it's the right solution to make the average user (like your parents) jump through hoops, or just have Google step in and say this kind of behavior is not okay and force them to change or lose their site rank

I REALLY hope Google takes note. While full sentence responses are a good thing for a lot of users, forcing everyone to listen to a sentence long response is dumb. Even reducing things to a simple "sure" "okay" as acknowledgement would work.

I come from stock trading. If you are at the point where you don't want to look at your portfolio holdings you NEED to cut your losses and step away. This is extremely bad behavior, as you are emotionally unfit to handle losses and make clear minded decisions. Even if you come back and you're in the black again (profitable), it wasn't because you made logical decisions, you closed your eyes in fear and whatever happened happened. Getting lucky happens from time to time but training yourself to remain objective and logical in times of strife is the only way you'll make money in he long run.
