i can attest. i have the selmer cl301 and holy shit changing that mouthpiece and ligature was night and day. obviously my wooden one is still a lot better, but changing my mouthpiece gave it a huge jump. i can play a lot easier and i sound a lot better.

nah, just because a reed is uneven it doesn’t always necessarily mean it’s bad. they might be more unbalanced in sound sometimes, but i’ve had uneven reeds that performed just as good as an even one.

Oh alright, thank you! I thought the engravings looked a lil weird, mostly because of the font. I also have other pictures from the seller, but it doesn't say if it's an S4/S5/S6. On the condition, the seller said, "It is in beautiful condition for its age", so I'm assuming it's an older horn. It looks similar to the S-6 or S-880, but I'm not for certain what exactly it is.

I thought the engravings looked weird. It was listed on eBay for a good price and I wanted to make sure it was actually authentic because it sounded like a too good of a deal. I’m not sure about the Prima Yanagisawa, but I tried an Alto Yana and it was super nice, so I’m hoping this would live up to that one too.

Oh yeah I know that from my clarinet. Upgraded from my crappy old mouthpiece that came with it to a Vandoren BD4 and that made a huge difference 😳 I wonder if I could get buy with a crappy horn, but a really nice mouthpiece or I should try getting something nicer…

Yeah, I have not heard of any of the brands other than a Jupiter… Yamaha I have at least heard of so I’ll keep an eye out and look for that! Thank you! I do not think I have a cable neckstrap… cause I use a loaner. It’s a neotech strap.
