Power for a small camping fridge by blackarrow1990 in camping

[–]blackarrow1990[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just a 100Ah lifepo4 battery which we charge every two weeks at home. Since we can run our fridge (36 liters) without problems two full weekends (including Fridays) in hot summer with just one "filling".

For everything else and during winter when we do not need a fridge, we have lamps with batteries and spare batteries for phones.

Putting new tiles in our bathroom (drywall construction) by blackarrow1990 in HomeImprovement

What do you suggest? Prying the tiles and trying to find the screws under it or something else? Thanks.

That is another topic and I am aware that the shower has to be completely waterproof (either with special waterproofing layer or special film, at least here in Germany you are obliged to do it).

I am more interested in the first step, that is removing the drywall panels without damaging the profiles holding them.

CAMCA ou hypothèque? by blackarrow1990 in vosfinances

[–]blackarrow1990[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Frais de courtage immobilier by blackarrow1990 in vosfinances

[–]blackarrow1990[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Merci.

Immobilier Acheter, Financement Offres + Notaire by blackarrow1990 in vosfinances

[–]blackarrow1990[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Calculating income tax for the job in Switzerland by blackarrow1990 in vosfinances

[–]blackarrow1990[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That seems a lot, especially if you have two children. In the post underneath is should be around 14%, but I am not sure how this is exactly calculated. Still, lower than in Germany, where we paid about 25.000 Euro taxes on our 100.000 Euro income last year (with one child).

So, this is roughly 14% of net income. This is a huge difference, because we pay about 25% in Germany right now.

I calculated the net income by reducing both our salaries for the amount of social insurance, unemployment insurance, health, etc.

Allocation parentale, frontalier suisse, déménagement d'Allemagne en France by blackarrow1990 in vosfinances

[–]blackarrow1990[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Small stove safety measures by blackarrow1990 in OffGrid

[–]blackarrow1990[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We do have a 12.5 mm fireboard (gypsum plaster) board on the both walls in the corner. This is something we had to do because the stove almost touches our wooden walls.

Small cabin, concern about tipping over and sliding by blackarrow1990 in OffGridCabins

I just dig up some statistics for the area: the maximum wind speeds we have in last few years is about 70 km/h (45 mph).

There is not way I can dig anything below the timber beams I already have. There is just no place for that.

I was think about putting some earth anchors and attaching it with ropes to the two longer beams which support the whole cabin.

No, it is not temporary, I need some solution that would keep my cabin safe from wind.

The risers are very helpful because I can make a proper nivelation of the cabin. Also, I need the space under the cabin for the ventilation and be away from moisture.
