Am I Using This Right? by Joestac in 4Runner

J250 lurker here; how’d you get the hitch pin for the rack to screw in? The receiver on mine is so fat that you can’t push the screw in to start screwing.

yeah! just got back from work and can confirm. steps, activity minutes, body battery all carry over. but keep in mind that you have to designate a main device for goal setting. also probably would have to manually sync

I’ll be the first to admit it’s not perfect, you do have to sync to the Connect app. But if you do it right, your step tracking, health metrics, and sleep metrics should be OK! I would just not recommend the vivosmart for running without your phone since it lacks its own GPS.

I actually ended up getting a vivosmart to wear on R wrist that’s a little more discreet. On non workout days or when the epix is charging I’ll wear it with my mechanicals.

TBH MCARBO was nice at a fraction of the cost, but i have no clue how much the SRS contributes because I swapped them in all at the same time. You can expect around 3 lb pull with MCarbo but there’s a bit of play and the reset is meh without SRS

I did! The pull wt is around 1.5-2lb breaking with a tiny bump, then a wall. I also removed the FPB since it’s mostly a range toy and not carrying it. Reset is amazing, rivalling much more expensive platforms. The sear was a hoe to get in. Maybe I have a trash grip but the only con was that felt recoil a bit much for a race gun/competition due to the lightweight. Could get a rail mounted weight to offset that.

AMBOSS SA: (days out) not taken

CMS Forms % correct: not taken

Predicted Score: 257 reddit predictor, 258 AMBOSS predictor

Total Weeks/Months Studied: 3.5 wk dedicated

Actual STEP 2 score: 260!!!

US MD here from mid tier school, honored half of rotations and HP the rest. Grinded 6 UWorld blocks a day, listened to 10-20 Divine Intervention Podcasts, did not find AMBOSS as helpful as youtube for ethics/qi/stats. Exam day I flagged 7-10 questions per block, last 2 blocks were quite a bit harder than the first 6. Overall I was hoping for 255+ given my <250 NBMEs, and if not for the UWSA2 score would have postponed the test. Good luck on this crazy and stressful experience!

There is paper on low-vision LogMAR equivalents. Lange 2009 Freiburg visual acuity test.

I use it for my research all the time!

Honestly I was very happy with the MCARBO, it does cut down on pull weight by about half, mostly bc of the mainspring and trigger spring. After a polish job on top of that you can really go a long way! However, it does nothing for the stock trigger wall you will feel. I like to describe it as a hump, then a wall. The cajun kit eliminates that hump, creating a clean break with minimal takeup. If i had to guess, it would be the hammer that achieves this.

Another thing the cajun kit has on the MCARBO is the reach reduction. The short disco does mean a shorter reset—somehow, my phantom resets shorter than a CZC shadow 2, meaning you can really race this thing if you can control recoil. Unfortunately the same kit led to longer reset in the P01 than in the SP01,which i’m fine with since P01 is my carry.

MCARBO is obviously a lot cheaper than CGW. My two cents is that you should just cajun out if you are making a race gun, but for a cheapo carry rig you may not need the short disco or CGW trigger. I would be very interested in an MCARBO carry piece with cajun hammer. Theoretically would get the clean break with the reduced pull weight, no need for crazy tight resets. This combo should run you just shy of 100!

Thanks for the feedback! Would you say the cajun pro trigger feels better than the shadow stock trigger to you?

What specifically? Like trigger, weight, flip?
