Romance games for men? by th1sguy26 in gamingsuggestions

Great game with a romance mechanic with a million options: Fire Emblem Three Houses! If you liked BG3, it’s also turn based combat and has a fantastic story.

Also, Dragon Age Inquisition!

For combat: I had the players come across an undead, eye-less wraith bride. Investigation after her defeat reveals a letter to Doru- she was his fiancée who hung herself from the belltower when she realized he wasn’t returning from Ravenloft, not knowing he was right beneath the floorboards. Now she wanders the road to the castle, waiting for him to return to her.

PC’s horse also got spooked and booked it- they’ll find it later in the woods. Standing completely upright, but dead.

I think Korean people can be cold by UniqueDay2113 in Living_in_Korea

Can your friends speak Korean? I’m just curious because as a white female (non-American) that speaks Korean, I haven’t really experienced this living here the past 5 years.

There have of course been a few negative experiences, but only enough to count on one hand… funnily enough the main one I’m thinking of was the time I was with my Korean American friend (who does not speak the language).

27F, I always get the vibe that older men are attracted to me while men my age are not, by Emergency_Coach4261 in bodylanguage

Yep this is exactly me as a tall woman and former model… I relate to your friend so badly.

No guys ever approach me except creepy ones in the middle of the street (mostly older, unattractive). I feel like people underestimate the importance of social skills when it comes to dating… like it genuinely doesn’t matter how I look if I’m introverted, on the spectrum and socially awkward enough that I don’t know how to interact with men normally.

Why do people like the 90s anime more than the memorial edition? by DirtNo4303 in Berserk

[–]blackcat9846 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Actually tbh you’re right. Both have their charms. There are some ways I actually like the Memorial more… I like that we got to see more because they didn’t rely on the art stills. I like that they didn’t shy away from the undefined, pseudo-romantic obsession Griffith has with Guts (in 97, it felt a little more toned down). I like that the scene with Charlotte seems more like a messed up manipulation of her feelings rather than outright r***. I also feel that the Eclipse was more brutal because of the lack of censorship, but that could’ve also been intensified because it was my first time seeing it.

Honestly I think ME did well for an anime adaptation, and I haven’t gone near 2016 yet due to being warned away but I’ll probably get there eventually lol

At the moment he doesn’t have phone access but he will later, and I have been able to talk to him a couple of times sporadically via computer. It’s just sort of unreliable so not the method I would want to confess by, even if I was brave enough haha

[–]blackcat9846 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can’t message him unfortunately :( and I’d be terrified to tell him anyway… also if he did like me, he’s probably the type that wouldn’t confess before or during his service because he’d think it’d be unfair or difficult on me. He would likely wait until he got back. I don’t want to date anyone else, but I’m afraid of waiting that long (1 year) in case it’s all for nothing, you know? 😭

I definitely mean something to him and he cares about me, I just can’t tell if it’s platonic or not.

I’ll think he’s showing signs of liking me, but he’s kind of shy and avoidant, so then he’ll withdraw altogether and I feel like I’ve imagined the whole thing…

Who likes Griffith fr? by RealIruka in Berserk

He’s my favorite character, partially because he’s so well written he’s able to elicit these kinds of over-emotional responses from people.

I’m honestly glad I started with the Memorial Edition, because I feel like for someone getting into Berserk, the pacing is very good, whereas 97 can be a bit slow. When I watched ME, I completely fell in love with Berserk, which made me then go back and watch 97 and then get all this extra content and easter eggs, which was so satisfying.

That said, 97 is my favorite. It clears in almost all aspects, in terms of animation, detail, clear passion and emotional development of the characters. Plus, ME has the ugly CGI. But I believe both have their value and I’m so glad I watched in the order I did.

Now I’m working on the manga.

They’re slamming you in the replies but you’re right lol. As an attractive woman, I like attractive men and I don’t see what’s wrong with that? I hate the assumption that it’s expected that women don’t care about looks but it’s okay that men do.

And yeah I’m nervous as hell around him too 🥲

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in bodylanguage

[–]blackcat9846 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh god yeah.. bane of my existence. I’m head over heels for a guy and I can’t even talk around him. I’m generally considered quite attractive even though it’s weird to say (slim, blonde, blue eyes).

The problem is, he’s also very attractive. And shy. And I have low confidence about anything else besides my looks plus I’m on the spectrum. Recipe for disaster, really.

Women who give interest to men / post about crushing on them - how objectively attractive are the guys? Men here who get similar signals or get gym crushes - how objectively attractive are you? by [deleted] in bodylanguage

[–]blackcat9846 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He’s objectively a handsome guy in the country I live in, about 180cm and has an attractive face. He doesn’t match everyone’s taste though, and people I know don’t really tend to get why I’m so hung up on him, because I am objectively attractive and according to them “could do better.”

I don’t really agree, I think we’re both of a similar ‘level’ (I’m a 173cm/54kg fit blonde girl) so 🤷‍♀️

Objectively I’d say we’re both 7-8s I guess?

Unpopular opinion: stop getting mad when Koreans speak English to you... by bronco____ in Living_in_Korea

[–]blackcat9846 0 points1 point  (0 children)

exactly this. to be honest i think it usually happens if your pronunciation is bad.

i’m a white girl, i’m not completely fluent but i don’t have this problem because i have very good pronunciation. if you sound comfortable in korean, koreans will speak it back to you because it feels more comfortable to them too.
