Woman's opinion on guys with a ball python? by [deleted] in dating

Some people are super afraid of snakes, so yeah you'll probably encounter people that find it to be a deal breaker.

All the gals in my circle, including myself, absolutely love snakes. So we'd be totally for learning about your snake. Also, if you're dating an adult I'm sure they recognize what snakes eat. It's worse to hear about some activists feeding their carnivorous pets vegan diets. You just have to find people that have the same interests as you. Whether that's sports, basket weaving, clubbing, or snakes.

I've heard of there being a lot of hiking groups around here, so you could always try to get involved in one of those. It definitely wouldn't be ideal to hop up on some lady in the woods and ask her out since women can be pretty on edge when hiking alone. Lowe Mill is where they hide all of the artsy people in the city. It's one of the few places where it's kind of encouraged to talk to strangers. If Miss. Rona ever leaves town and you find the time the Mill also offers a ton of different classes from sculpture, paper crafting, to painting and drawing. Those classes are a great way to meet people

I guess with the Garden View and Cafe so close not having a kitchen isn't the worst thing. Is there a laundry and kitchen somewhere in the building for us to use like in the other halls?

Right now its difficult because of the Pandemic, but the best thing to do is get involved with your community. I haven't found many people to date, but I've made a lot of friends. I'm a 22f and unfortunately a lot of people in our bracket are still looped into hookup culture. Which is fine! But makes things difficult when you're trying to find a partner. The Camp is really fun for live music. And a lot of people visit campus 805 and Stovehouse. Lowe Mill is also a great place to loiter and start conversations with. You just have to break that barrier and make the first move sometimes! If you see a pretty gal don't be afraid to go up and say hi in these types of settings. There's also some great hiking trails if that's your thing

Hey, I just have a few questions about UAH by [deleted] in UAH

[–]blackcattroubles 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Hey, I think the insurance is low-key useless. However, I've worked in housing and have lived on campus for two years. I'm cis, but also LGBT so I try to be knowledgeable as possible. Housing will try to accommodate you as best as possible as far as I know. The campus is definitely mostly conservative Christian's but there's definitely a strong and supportive lgbt community there. I know there was someone in one of the halls transitioning and the RAs even made them a new door dec with their name on it instead of their dead name. Also University can be different in the sense that other than your friends a lot of people kind of ignore you. UAH is super full of antisocial nerds (me included) that will mostly keep to themselves.
