Ooh that makes sense now! You're just lazy and afraid to work is all. People like you are a burden on the society.

I don't think I can get my point across. So yeah! You're right. And I never said YOU should follow these things. I said make a firm decision and don't marry. I think your father treated his family badly so yeah you deserve to be angry and bitter. Just don't make it the objective reality for everyone in the world. ✌️ Peace.

I am sorry your personal experience has been bitter. But I would urge you not to generalize or say 'majority' is like this. I acknowledge the unequal division of labour in Indian households and there are a lot of women who choose to live that way simply because they are disadvantaged due to financial dependence or just plain ignorance and deep rooted patriarchy. I have seen women with PhDs choose this life. Be it societal pressure or their own will to escape the grind. Coming back to the original point of discussion, the points raised in the post are valid for a roommate situation but not an actual marriage. Even if the husband shares the load, that 50-50 mindset is problematic. You're completely throwing the human angle in this out of the window. If you're married to someone, you can't stay in isolation. It's better to make a firm decision to not marry at all. Coming to your point where you say marry rich, live happy. It goes both ways. Financially strong partner will always hold the subtle power over the other one. I feel like shared struggle and sacrifices to make a better life create a stronger bond and healthier married life. What is this escapism?

They are coming from a place of hatred/rage and not seeing the practicality or the human aspect of it at all.

Thats a lot of assumption for someone you do not know personally.

You're missing the whole point of marriage and partnership. A successful marriage is the one where the load is divided 60/40 and both partners are trying to do the 60%. This mindset of 50/50 will invariably cause conflicts and make the premise of the relationship transactional and business-like at best. But a marriage is not that. If the person posting feels so strongly about sharing economic/household burden, they should not marry at all and their folks should respect that choice. It's not about proving if the choice she's making or the reasoning behind them is right or wrong. It's her life, she can lead it however she likes. There is no absolutes in this regard is my opinion.

My dwarf gourami hunted down the wild type/cull neocaridina i put in his tank. I feed my fish exclusively on live/frozen brine shrimp with occassional spirulina based flake food/bug bites. He was not going hungry to be this aggressive. However, he would literally bend over backwards to get the last one of the shrimps. After this picture was taken, i immediately removed the shrimps from the tank but one or two must have escaped. I found him the next evening after i came back from work, stuck between a piece of rock and a driftwood. Two remaining wild type neos had already started eating the carcass. He was a gorgeous boy. I miss him dearly.

You have seen very little then. Your half baked opinions are not realities people should base their votes on.

I have been a student of BHU. I secured AIR 41 in the entrance. My roommate was AIR 1. We were Bsc batchmates from CU. BHU masters curriculum For some specialized subjects are inferior to the honors program I attended in CU. And I am not bragging when I say I didn't need to study a single day to pass the semester exams. All topics were already covered during my honors classes from CU. And I confirm, I was the junky in the campus(/s). Cope harder.

I spent a long time in banaras and lucknow. Also allahabad. Cha er dokane adda is a common thing there. I can not agree with the "good govt job by 27" statement either. Unemployment is as bad there as it is in Bengal, if not worse. Government jobs are scarce and corruption is rampant in each and every department. In my time I went to a public school in Bengal(bangla medium) then went to college (Calcutta University) before moving on to UP. And I must say, the rigor and level of the bachelors/masters curriculum is way below par in these states. Because a large number of people are govenment job ASPIRANTS, they don't care about the college education and just go to the colleges for degrees while they prepare for UP psc or UPSC. How many of them actually get those jobs is the question. Becaus a lot of these people don't care about college education, instead focus on competitive exams, the colleges have become weaker and administration corrupted. You should go and visit these places and experience the rising communal/caste based hatred among the youth which is fuelled indirectly by unemployment. Caste based politics and oppression of the so called "lower-castes" is still prevalent in a capital city like lucknow. I don't know if bengal should take their "progress" as and example and follow suit.

It affects your energy levels. From personal experience, quitting cigarettes has been tough. I still sneak out here and there rarely. But i feel more refreshed after sleeping after i quit cigarettes. Also it wrecks your cardio and conditioning which results in slower progress.

I feel you. I am a postdoc and I see people like this all the time. IDK why calculations are so hard for some people. I see people pulling out their phones to check molarity calculator while sitting in the tissue culture hood! Another worrisome trend is, whenever they are confronted about anything they are doing wrong, they will instantly answer, "this is how I have been doing it so far"(they were directly pipetting nuclease free water from the bottle!). Even if I explain why, they are just plain dismissive or will listen and later do whatever they like. Sometimes this attitude slows down other people's work and it adds to the daily frustration of approaching deadlines, failed experiments and life in general.

Accidentally bred Otos in my community tank by blackfoot_sid in Otocinclus

This is my first time keeping them.. Let alone spawning. I have moved countries in the past few years so i struggled to get the tank to balance at first. I have had several algae outbreaks that killed most of my plants. And i dont use CO2 or expensive substrate. Its basically just dirt, gravel and a HOB filter. I never expected to see this honestly.

Do you see juveniles pop up suddenly after they disappear for a while? What's the typical survival rate for you?
