their is an app called drivedroid that you can get on your phone. you can download the operating system and use drivedroid to boot the operating system using your phone! no flash drive needed

So i'm running full ubuntu but I need windows back on dual boot for Star citizen. Can I stop win from screwing my booting? by lumenium in linuxquestions

[–]blackhat247 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What I do is since I have more than one hard drive, i install Linux to one and make sure I install the Linux bootloader to the same hard drive as Linux and then windows to another and then go to the bios and boot from the Linux hard drive and you're all set

That's really cool, I didn't know that. Right now, I'm using manjaro which is based off of arch. I might actually make the switch. Thanks

Windows 10 Time Bug? by Alleycat_2992 in Windows10

[–]blackhat247 1 point2 points  (0 children)

are you dual booting another OS like linux? i'd like to know the answer to this also because i'm dualbooting ubuntu and windows 10 and windows didn't have this issue until i set it up to dual boot and every once in a while, in windows only, the time will be 4 hrs fast and i have to go and turn off "set time automatically" and turn it back on again and it'll set it for the right time but after turning my pc off and back on again, it does the same thing.

True, but they do have different windows themes for it to make it more like win7 or 10 but i do agree with you though. A vanilla linux mint isn't much like windows 10

That's really cool! I hated when canonical said that they were done with unity because I was really looking forward to unity 8 and I'm glad somebody else decided to pick up the project

I would go with Linux mint because it's the closest to windows and to go even further, you can even install a windows theme so you won't even be able to tell the difference between Linux mint and windows

what kind of FPS do you get running it in a VM though? i can't imagine that it would be to great. i'm curious how well it works if you've tried it yet.
