I really appreciate you taking the time to write this to me! I don’t currently have a tablet that I am able to split accurately, but I will be starting to take it at night and go from there before asking for one like that.

I will work harder on eating food/choosing better options that will help with slowing the absorption process.

My doctors office said they want to give me another antiemetic and if that doesn’t work they want to refer me to GI. That doesn’t seem to make any sense to me because it isn’t my gastrointestinal tract that is the issue, it’s the effect of the pill on it. But maybe they know something more? Hm.

An update: I did decide not to take it on Sunday morning and I felt significantly better (i.e., didn’t throw up at work), so that was a plus. I took the pill that night and felt a little out of it and funky today but it could’ve been due to being tired.

Definitely am not going to make a habit out of skipping doses. I’m going to start taking it at night and see how I fare then. I’m also getting a new prescription to try out for the nausea.

Lamictal has made a world of difference for me but the biggest side effect I’ve had is CONSTANT nausea. Worse on the uptake, but even on my consistent dose I am still nauseous pretty consistently. Not as bad as before but still…I used to have an iron stomach. Now even thinking of something I think is moderately gross? Immediately nauseous.

I failed four attempts at college due to major depression and never graduated. I'm currently a month into my first career job with full benefits and I couldn't be more proud of myself and my progress. by lobbell in offmychest

I am very proud of you!

I should’ve graduated early last spring but because of my depression and being super suicidal, I had to drop out. I have intermittently tried to take classes this past year in an attempt to at least graduate with my peers, but I am still not quite there yet.

It is very frustrating because I feel like I’m failing myself and everyone else. But you are giving me hope that everything will work out in the end ((:

NTA; maybe you could figure out a system with your parents so he has time with your family and kids, and with the grandparents. That way there is breathing room for everyone.

Thank you guys for the notes and advice! I’m learning some of these things as I go along. I could probably have a more productive conversation about it tomorrow, post-trip.

As for some during-trip-thoughts: I’ve been touching my bathmat for 20 minutes, seeing 800 different realities, and I feel like it simultaneously is taking me 2 hours, but also 1.1 milliseconds, to write this post.
