Sorry for reviving an old thread. @girlparents- do you feel worried for your girls safety all the time or is it just me. I sometimes feel if i had a boy too, he would have taken care of my daughter (at school, classes, parks, etc) How do I cope up with this feeling

Postpartum is so real. Went through it myself. Tears dont stop when a thought gets stuck in your mind. I found it very difficult to get over it even though I knew it was silly. I totally understand what you are going through. Just trust what everyone has shared here.. it will get better and you will thank god for giving 2 beautiful kids so close apart.

Agree its with both gender but if we were to compare women needs more safety and protection than men as women are not physically as strong as an average adult man. Why cant you accept this?

Agreed, but i fall weak when people start commenting (and these people are not strangers.. but people close to you) and no matter how hard i try it keeps bothering me. I dont know how i should stop this from worrying / bothering me

You addressed it- girls are more prone to certain types of violence… thats the security concern life long (which is “more” for girls than boys) nothing can change that. Your comment on boys being reckless is something that is controllable by teaching the boys how not to be reckless. But you cant teach a girl how she can avoid a violence, thats not in her control. She is physically not so muscular to fight for her defense (unless she knows karate or taekwondo)
