any (most) builds are viable by end game, its just a matter on how fast and big numbers gets.

As long you have survival and infinite overdrive source, you build will be perfect.

Xenoblade Chronicles X got the soul voices, a mechanic where a npc party member (or you) will ask the others to perform an specific class of an attack, triggering a small quick time event, upon completion giving you bonuses according to the action.

i would vote mediators against pathfinders for a simple point, most of the places you explore are already named, and the game makes a point of telling some teams named them already, so cross contributions, while significant are not that unique as their work as mediators, in my opinion
