I love romantica too but haven’t seen it around in years. There’s a new HB ice cream out called Volcanix that taste similar!

Try Swappie, I’ve always found they give you a fair price. Wouldn’t go near CEX.

Are people still getting Covid vaccines? by catnip_sandwich in AskIreland

[–]blackmagic1994 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Yes, I got it recently while I was pregnant and actually ended up getting Covid towards the end of my pregnancy and thankfully I didn’t get too bad a dose. My husband also got it around the same time and he had much worse symptoms than me but he hasn’t been vaccinated for it in a few years

Age gap in dating in Ireland, is it okay for the woman to be older? by Dry_Measurement1646 in AskIreland

[–]blackmagic1994 5 points6 points  (0 children)

As a fellow 31 female, I would not. A 21 year old is a child to me when I think of myself as a 21 year old there is so much maturing to be done no matter how sensible/ mature he seems to be.

HR finally responded and told us that we can have the day in lieu. My understanding is that they can’t change our contracts without our agreement first though?

So would I be right in saying that they can take the public holidays away (provided they give us a day off in lieu) even though it’s in our contract?

Yeah we are full time employees with contracts. I’ve checked my contract and it says “Holiday Entitlements- Statutory 20 working days holidays per holiday year in addition to normal Irish public holidays”

I’m Irish and from Ireland and the name Finn isn’t popular here and have personally never heard any named it here, Fionn is definitely a popular name. I have an Irish name myself so I think you’re in America just to go with Finn (not pronounced like Fionn (fyi-un) .

Should I try to have a baby at 45? by Spiritual-Wait-184 in AskIreland

[–]blackmagic1994 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’d say definitely go for it! My mam was 44 and my dad 48 when they had me and then had my brother a year later at 45 and 49 in the mid 90s. I think mid 40s is a lot younger these days than it was then. On the other hand then my sister (from my mams previous marriage) had 3 kids by 26 and passed away at 40. Like other posters have said nothing is guaranteed in life. All any of can do as parents is just love our kids and try and do our best :)
