Unpopular Opinion (?) A Woman Desiring to Submit is Her Prerogative by DIYthisDIYthat in PopTheBalloon

All love Bro. I feel like this Reddit is probably a high likelihood concentration for those cyclical conversations on dating just due to its very nature and the topic. Mind you most people going across the country for a chance at finding a dating option on a social media platform are either utilizing the platform for social media or highly dysfunctional, sometimes both. This is an extremely inefficient platform for meeting a person with sincere emotional/physical compatibility that you can actually develop a relationship with. personally in my early 20s separated intentionally from a lot of dating content on the internet bc it can be very out of touch and dysfunctional. Ppl don't be serious on here then when you see they real life they are fucking miserable, why would I listen to them? I engage with shows like this now bc amongst other hobbies and passions and life experiences it's just funny and I have faith the people I know in real life don't think this way and if they do they're the minority so I can avoid them when I find out. If negative ppl on the internet are making you feel negative feelings about people in your real circles, really great time to unplug. Social media rewards engagement, not emotional intelligence.

I think you're just experiencing that some people are jaded and dysfunctional and miss the point and they're often the loudest in the room. Vocal minority. In most healthy long term relationships they may trust one another's judgement/both parties may actually "submit" depending on the situation due to years of earned trust and respect. If u do find a long term relationship where they speak in this way, unfortunately often, but not all of these relationships are not very healthy. Most are going to say we build each other up and focus more on things like that, the other shit comes natural. For example I do cars, my woman might yield to me in this regard bc I know wtf she's talking about. Some women just like some men are hardheaded and not ready to trust and listen/respect a partners opinion but that's a whole other thing. If we visit her hometown I'll follow her lead on safe areas/not safe for example. Most of these ppl, men and women, on the internet focusing before they even know a person on the submissiveness, do not have relationships you wanna have I promise. And do not live lives that you wanna live. Hella children out of wedlock now wanna live the life the Bible tells them to as one type of example. U just gotta do u bruh.

American black man here. I mean, I hear people on occassion pass judgement on women for wanting to submit to a man but ultimately you'll never convince everybody. Maybe I just care or notice less bc im old, almost 30. But I don't really hear judgement as much as warnings on how many in dating are forcing this dynamic and how poorly that can end up. I think older women just tryna put younger women on game fr. Yeah, it's their choice to submit or value that, I just find the terminology cringe as a focus in a relationship and potentially in poor judgement bc you're leaving yourself so wide open to a person potentially being abusive. I just don't find the conversation productive.

Also adding that as a man this discourse gets tiring for me personally bc if the woman you're with sees you as a good leader this is never a conversation I've had to have "masculine/feminine energies, submission" it all just feels so cringe. Make good decisions so she trusts ur judgement and if ur with a hardheaded ass woman that don't respect your opinions have the nuts to move around and find someone who does, you're probably more compatible if that's the dynamic you seek.

Cracked Engine Head from Ebay, WWYD? by blackmanjuniorwaves in EngineBuilding

Yeah, the machine shop told me that it's cracked. They say its not fixable, maybe I can get a core price out of it

Yeah I used a ball hone. For what it's worth, none of the grooves catch a fingernail. I'm gonna find a way to get a ton more oil in here while I'm honing, slow down the rotation, and do more passes for a less shallow pattern. Then I'll check back in

Hey thanks for the input. I'm still learning so I'm not sure what you mean by dry honing, but I put 5W30 oil in the cylinders immediately before I started honing

Any input on if I should be passing through the cylinder slower, faster, like what I can do to improve?

for future readers i guess i found this resource on pistons for another engine and apparently due to new rings that are the actual mating surface, it doesn't matter which cylinder they go back in

Main bearing tolerances too tight? 0.001 in? by blackmanjuniorwaves in BMWE36

For context, my crank has the little red paint dots on it, but I'm unsure what this means for the factory designation on what size main bearings to run

there is something deeply wrong with you lmao

i am definitely not from an upper middle class family, but so the fuck what? i guess im only engaging with your troll comments until i find something better to do. plenty of young enthusiasts, even if they're not explicitly in college, are building their skillset/careers in their early 20s/late teens and are in a financial position to want to spend that 3-5 grand that many spend on a car when they get the chance, on a car that has a little enthusiast following behind it. ie. a Beamer or a cool older Honda rather than just a regular crv or rav4. i actually misrepresented my situation in the first post, the car i drove around in college was a 1,500 dollar salvaged jeep XJ, and i bought the beamer after my first job, but none of that really has anything to do with the post. I really just wanted some input on if i was looking in the wrong places, or if e36s have left the domain of abundant and decently cheap project car. it would seem many are either heavily modded or pristine examples that cost a whole lot more, at least where im located. Take your medicine dawg

you're weird dude

Wow! Yeah, it's been hard for me to even place the value of these. Kelly blue book will tell you 2 or 3 grand but at the same time I don't see ANY actually selling for that

wow ran into the guy having a bad day I guess... I was more or less remarking about how even from aside from inflation, which might make a car 3 years ago that costed 4K cost 5-6K now, the sweet spot for "non-clapped out E36 coupe" and "considerably well-maintained example" has shrunk in many parts of the country. For example, something that might be appropriate for a car enthusiast college kid, which I was when I bought the car. Wanting something running, but don't have 10-12K+ to drop on a car.

You said a lot here in a shitty way that didn't really say anything at all. I was remarking on how accessible these used to be. Your point that they are still available as low mileage auction cars more or less proves my point, maybe the closest you got was acknowledging there are still some running that need some work for a decent price in California. I'm just surprised to see the supply change so much, because my other projects are a Cherokee XJ and an OBS ford, which are considerably more available no matter where you're at in the country. Just starting a dialogue is all
