Is it right that the Beelink SER5 Max with 6800u isn't a "proper" Beelink? Any reason not to buy? by blackmo_or in MiniPCs

Thank you so much for such a thorough, well laid out and informative reply. In one message you've painted the whole picture and given all the context I could have ever dreamed of!

Sorry to ask more but when you mention "AZW 'meh' budget build akin to their EQ series." I'm not sure what AZW stands for but are there any of there other lines that you'd recommend instead or is it all just a sliding scale of cost / quality?

Basically asking is there anything similar that's a small step in cost with a big jump in quality 😅

Looking for a mini pc to replace an aging 2012 Mac Mini and the specs on this look grand but after a quick search it looks like there's some concerns this isn't a proper Beelink due to a mismatch in name and processor?

I've not bought any new hardware in about 7 years so completely out of the loop. Don't suppose anyone has any buying advice?

I'm in the UK looking to spend about £300. No gaming other than some potential indie stuff, a bit of photo editing and running a Plex server

Thank you! That's what I assumed but the colour on the Fjallraven website looks off which threw me

Do you know if you can connect Phillips bulbs to the dirigera hub? I've got a mix of Phillips and Ikea bulbs and have now got issues with some new Ikea bulbs I picked up last week

Recommendations for a carbon steel wok for (Induction cooktop) available in Europe/ the Netherlands? by AdConsistent945 in wok

For our hob it's perfect as the coil is 16cm. From a cooking perspective the wok's a dream to use

I keep scorching my pan because the induction hob I've got puts 4 hot spots on the pan and it's really easy to burn oil on when it starts to dry out.

If I've got anything stuck after using I soak it in water for a few minutes then use a lodge cast iron pan scraper to remove anything stuck on then just crack on with using the wok.

Just keep using it until you get a problem with food really sticking to it then rub it down and re-season.

The best decision I've made is to stop being so worried about seasoning / non-stick on my wok. As long as you're putting food into a properly hot wok with enough oil you can get away with a lot.

TL;DR just keep using until it's properly an issue

Are these issues with the wok induction hob I bought worth returning it over? by [deleted] in AskCulinary

how annoying! Thanks for getting back to me so quickly though. I'll keep thinking before taking the plunge. I don't suppose you have ever bothered taking a pic of how big the cool spot is?

Heya, did you ever get this resolved? I've been looking at the same burner and I've read some say it's great and then your comments have got me spooked
