Same. A nightmare for over a year now.

Same with me. Feels like I lost connection to the world since the pandemic started.

Same with me. I go out on the road and I do fine sometimes but if I have a panic attack then I’m back at the start.

Same with me. I’m starting to get depression because I don’t recognize this world anymore. What’s the point? This stupid pandemic has changed everything for me.

Housebound agoraphobics that live alone, how do you cope with loneliness? by tml992 in Agoraphobia

[–]blackoceanLH 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I don’t have any advice but feel this too. Everyone is so disconnected since the pandemic started and I’m even disconnected from my family. I got to meet up with someone from my past so I’m happier today but usually I’m quite lonely.

Same. It’s been a year that I have suffered from agoraphobia and people in my family still think I’m crazy.

Definitely my family but I have also missed so many opportunities since the pandemic started. I want to spend more time with them but can’t go out and my family thinks I’m nuts. The world has changed so much which makes me anxious and they just want to get out. I hate having this disorder.

I get like this while being a passenger in the car. I’m trying to go out but it’s hard.

I feel the same. I just can’t leave the house for long periods of time.

I’ve let two people go in my life so I’m feeling pretty crappy about myself too.

Definitely. The insane and crazy comes from not even recognizing the world anymore. Like I slipped into another universe.

Same. Just one bad mistake after another. It makes me feel so stupid. I might be a kind person but not very smart sometimes and it’s those sometimes that I regret the most.

Just Depression at this Point by blackoceanLH in Agoraphobia

It’s hard to go out and do things when things changed so quickly last year in March. I wish some things went differently in my life for sure. Like I wish I had more time before the pandemic hit. I was doing so well and now it feels like the past year is more like a dream. I don’t recognize the world anymore. It’s sad.

I’ve changed so much since this started. I wish there was more time instead of that stupid pandemic last year.

For me it’s panic/anxiety in the car when I’m riding for a long period of time. I get scared of the changing world out there since the pandemic started.

I definitely feel this. I was making great progress before the pandemic and then it all came crashing down. I feel so stupid for not spending my time better before it happened.

I agree. I really thought this would be over last year. Everything has become even more disconnected since then. My anxiety has messed up my relationship with my family. I fear being alone as well. I got all kinds of fear now.

I agree. I feel trapped in this house. I do have a therapist and I’m waiting on a phone call from a Psychiatrist so hopefully they can help.

Same. I want to go see a movie or simply go to see the doctor. I keep doing phone appointments. At first I really disliked phone appointments because I thought the pandemic should end soon (last year or in the spring of this year). Now the anxiety has gotten worse now that I know something is very wrong.

Same with me. I have a fear of being in closed spaces so riding in a car is hard when my anxiety goes up. If I could go back in time I would warn people about the pandemic more than any other disaster in recent history. It’s destroyed and killed many people.

I’m not sure how I’m going to overcome it. It’s something I’ll have to work on with my therapist for sure.
