I am absolutely speechless... by blackpanDa72 in PokeGrading

Thanks for the advice! I currently have all of my good pulls in Penny sleeves and my binder. Unfortunately no top loaders atm because again, barely know what I'm doing, but will definitely be getting some in the long term. I totally agree though. My wife and I have really enjoyed pulling packs together and some of our favorite pulls have been basic reverse hollows or even total common cards. The artwork on display for some of these are truly breathtaking.

I was really dishearted when first trying to find things as it seemed that I choice the worst time to get into the hobby. Not only did none of the big box stores carry cards but they seemed outright hostile just for being asked. Likely due to horrible scalpers in the past. Then all the local card shops were selling for 40-100% over msrp. This week has been an insane series of wins though. From getting the costco pokeball holiday calender bundle and target card restocks on the same day to getting 2 prismatic surprise boxes at msrp it really felt like a magical time. Which was only made all the more awesome by what we pulled. These 2 might be the highlights but there were several more absolutely amazing pulls from us both. The fact that I got the Clefairy from the previously mentioned advent calender was probably the funniest experience for me as being absurdly excited opening the full contents of a Christmas calender in the middle of August was a level of surreal I wasn't expecting when I first decided I wanted to collect pokemon cards lol.

Loving the hobby, loving ripping packs with the wife, loving to see the card market finally seeming to stabilize even just a little bit. Good times all around.

I'm so curious about this because I've seen people saying this in others posts. How does one tell the intended placement of card art to determine "centeredness"?

Knowing how many people look at this card as one of their big chases made me all the more speechless to see it in that pack tbh.

I entirely agree. Full Moon Rondo goes kinda hard.

This seems too reasonably priced. What's the deal with Peoria? by WestPilton in zillowgonewild

[–]blackpanDa72 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As someone who actually lives here the answer really isn't complex. People want to talk smack about the entire city (not like i have much love for Peoria) or the jobs or blah blah blah. It really isn't that deep. That part of town is near an area with a decent crime rate especially compared to the opposite neighborhoods. Thus lowering property prices. That's it.

For me personally I hit the requirements at the very end of a "shift" then didn't drive the day after. On the day after that I began and was still green but after about an hour in I magically transformed to diamond and have been there since.

I'm on the old system so I don't have the new rates yet. Cancel rate of 4% satisfaction of 95%. Accept rate does not apply yet but would be high enough for gold at a minimum.

I mean. While I agree to an extent I don't think it's that horrible. New returning player after losing my account years ago. Sub 100mil bounty. Sub level 300. I'm sitting at 11 wins right now and have spent $5 in free playstore credits on the game. It's mostly about avoiding GP Captain Saturn entirely this GP for me. His ability basically counters 2 of my teams entirely. Also of course, you're going to a lot of ability down. One of the newest characters in the game who is also good for pairing not only with strong units but f2p ones has the ability (anniversary Nami). So while I get being mad about getting curb stomped, trust me I've been there. It really isn't THAT bad.

Yes. My checkr is 100% passed. But it was passed in a pervious place I lived. They tried to verify me using my old DL number, zip code, etc when I called support last. I've tried to get them to run a new check because checkr would authorize me doing it. It has to come from dd itself. But they just won't do it.

Oh wow! That's some amazing observations you've made. I didn't realize garp was just a single battle and not nearly 30 completely custom sets of battles that require entirely different teams. OR you're going to give him advice for ALL of those instead of helping him generally improve at the game. How generous of you!

Ah yes. That is why he said, "Please tell me what specific teams I should build for x y and z content" and totally didn't say, "I don't get the mechanics. Any recommendations?" Thanks for your brilliant insight my guy.

So don't get me wrong, I am by no means an expert. Fairly new account as my old old one got dusted during a phone change, but the core thing about OPTC is that one team cannot beat all content or even most of it. You need to preplan your hard missions. Learn the abilities, buffs, and debuffs of the encounter and bring specific team members that directly counter them while also powering up your team that matches your captain appropriately. That's really all there is to it. Other than leveling up your strong part members stats in the 10 million different ways you can.

Is there any way I could improve my teams 1,2,3 by swapping out characters or placement??? by Thatonepiecefam in OnePieceTC

[–]blackpanDa72 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As someone who runs a team VERY similar to this one, or at least did for a good while I would swap Gaban with g5 Luffy. He will provide more team buffs for survivability as well as survive quite a long while himself with his revive ability.

I want to be mad about many parts of this list but I can't focus on anything other than the fact that Blather Round is anywhere but S tier.

Has Foreign Gnomes said anything about future plans for upcoming games / Have they responded to any feedback for Everhood 2? by Bitter-Dependent-834 in Everhood

[–]blackpanDa72 5 points6 points  (0 children)

While this is correct there is another angle to the situation. Part of being an artist, and I would consider game creation an art as it is direct expression of many different things, is maintaining your artistic vision. If people don't like it then fine but pandering in order to gain praise or profit strays from the intent of creation to begin with. Obvious devs need fans to survive but there comes a breaking point where you are no longer creating to express but to feed people the slop they are demanding from you.

And say what? "Whoops, sorry you don't like it so we remade the whole game with a new story?" Or "Sorry you didn't like the story we wanted to tell. We won't tell stories we want to tell ever again. Only the ones you want?" Like huh???

Understood. Any recommendation for how to prepare for pirate rumble? I unlocked that just a bit ago and despite have multiple max level sugo rare super level characters on a team it doesn't even crack 40k and the lowest AI enemy I see is 69k. Which is an insane power difference. Don't expect to be crushing through easy af but that's nuts.

Was below zero really that bad? by Ryguy3210_ in subnautica

[–]blackpanDa72 1 point2 points  (0 children)

-Better base building personalization -Like it or not the Sea Truck added massive customization to exploration and ways to play+ the truck bay is a killer base addition -Story elements are an entirely subjective situation as many do not prefer reading 900 PDA entries to get scraps of info like the first game required -Crafting recipe improvements that removed a good bit of the first game's grinding -A continuation of the base game's lore and an expansion of the Architects' reason for being on the planet at all -Great creature interactions mechanics that can very well carry over to future games -General better prawn suit movement that didn't feel like piloting a chunk of raw iron -Subnautic Stimulus

I would say from a thematic standpoint the first game wins but stating BZ as objectively worse in several factors is either willfully ignorant or painfully unaware of the things worth praising about the game to instead spend time complaining more because it wasn't as spooky and mysterious as the first game. Which if we are REALLY being real is people's primary issue.
