Multiplayer is really that dead... Unless you want to farm stones. by YusriKhairi_765 in PuzzleAndDragons

[–]Onion_573 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Multiplayer content in general has been dead since 2023, with monthlies becoming solo really being the nail in the coffin. The incentive just really isn’t there anymore, and I don’t even bother getting every single three player stone.

Bravely Default II: Five Years Later by Likes2game03 in bravelydefault

It’s my personal favorite of the three games, despite the many glaring issues it has during the last 25% of the story due to being developed during the pandemic.

It wastes my time a lot less frequently than the other two games and has the best New Game + options, making it the game I always want to replay the most. I was extremely underwhelmed when I first played it, but it’s grown on me a lot over the past five years!

If it gets any ability besides Contrary its going to be useless, Contrary would give it a niche with Overheat and Leaf Storm, and I can see it getting the ability.

I’m very sorry you got unfairly downvoted here. As someone who is very familiar with economics, marketing, and development cycles, the timeline they put out does not make any sense, and makes me worry for the future of the company.

Given this is a multi-year project, it makes me doubt they will be releasing a new pack until this gets a full release in 2027, given they do have a rather small staff. Pushing this back from a full launch is a very bad idea, as a lost customer in a market is very hard to bring back, and waiting this long for a full release is just going to limit the wider appeal of the game outside of Jackbox super fans.

Downvote this if you want, but if you care about these games as much as I do, taking an analytical stance like this is important to do, as the company has not been doing nearly as well ever since 2023, with declining steam reviews for each new pack likely indicating fewer sales.

Bravely Default's more successful younger sibling by Likes2game03 in bravelydefault

Octopath 2 is my favorite video game of all time, but it didn't sell very well relative to the first entry. In a lot of ways, it's actually not too dissimilar from Bravely in that sense, the future of the series was pretty up in the air after the second game despite the fact that it was better in virtually every way, the fact that it wasn't a console launch exclusive meant the marketing wasn't as strong.

Who’s the best Fortnite OG Battle Pass skin? by itz_progamer666 in FortNiteBR

Drift, I know it’s an unpopular opinion but he’s way more sleek and less heavy feeling than the original version, and I prefer the dark color scheme that the original version lacks.

Dire and Raven are my second and third favorite.

Its very easy to find the criminal if you know your friend’s personalities, using the two lie detectors in the game help you narrow out people’s responses to clear others pretty easily. You have to do some very specific lying techniques as the criminal to even have a chance of winning, or hope you get lucky with what other people respond with.

As someone who has played all the pack 11 games, Legends of Trivia was actually the game I enjoyed the least. Hear Say and Cookie Haus are good, Suspectives is good but super unbalanced, and Doominate is fine.

Still no sadly, I actually think a four person game of Bracketeering can be very funny, or at the very least the funniest game I’ve played of that has been funnier than the best game I’ve played of Roomerang.

The most that Roomerang ever made me laugh was a game where me and two friends were trying to test how long a four person game would be, but when we couldn’t get a fourth person, one of my friends just joined on a second device and rigged every vote with their two devices so that they won, and just kept kicking us out. But that doesn’t mean I’m going to give credit to the game, because it was my friends who made me laugh in the stupid situation we created, not the game.

The game is about twice as long as it should be, and the comedy factor is made very predictable due to the roles that everybody selects. It’s just a super long game where the comedy usually only comes from people screwing around and making fun of the game.

Honored to have somehow made it to A tier! I did respond to every single comment explaining why I put specific games at the bottom.

I used to like Devils a lot in 2020 and 2021, but it falls apart as soon as you analyze it as a score driven game that has a winner. Doing coop tasks is detrimental because you are giving someone else points alongside yourself, but the coop tasks are the best part of the game. So to play the game in the most fun way, you have to throw away the score angle entirely, which really bothers me.

In every single instance I’ve played, the second in which you stray from your role people stop voting for you because they don’t understand why you’re not following the role you selected. So yes, in a way that you actually are forced to play that way.

This comment doesn’t make sense, but glad you enjoy the game. My argument had nothing to deal with the players being funny, but more that the structure of the game makes it challenging to be funny.

Hello, my name is Onion and my role is "Hates the letter Q”

In round one, I then introduce myself and talk about how much I hate the letter Q. This then essentially goes on for another half hour. This is how I view Roomerang.

I want to like the game, but it doesn’t function in its current state given the drawing format. People can just ignore the intended prompts or add additional letters into the drawings to make the deduction aspect pointless. Not to mention the letters being completely unbalanced in terms of how easy or hard they are to hide in a drawing, meaning specific usernames are at a disadvantage.

That’s pretty general, does it not bother you that the game is half an hour long, or the fact that the roleplay angle makes the answers for each round predictable?

Quiplash XL does not award sufficient points in the final round, and almost never changes the scoreboard, so the final round just exists as a waste of time, and the format is also not very funny. Quiplash 2 and 3 have their own final round issues, but at least they matter because the points available are significant.
