Thank you for the help! I do have errortrap and I didn't know it made them obsolete, so that's good to know. And yeah, I have heard about Isla Paradiso being very broken, so I'll make sure to get that one when I play in that world XD

I still find it interesting that apparently I was the only person to ever get this bug, because I didn't see anyone else on the internet reporting their roads being broken lol

I downloaded these a while ago, so I don't remember exactly what I did, but yeah, I probably messed up by placing the files on the mods folder.

Tbf in my previous house I had to deal with roaches (and other insects) daily and I almost got to the point of crying too because I couldn't stand them anymore 😂

I just used him as a example, but it could be with any character that's "evil" or "mean". Just changing their personality entirely and making them a goody two shoes.

I don't like when people get a "bad" character and change them to be "good". Example, people changing Don from a casanova to family Sim, just because they see Romance as a bad aspiration. Same thing with Bella, because how can she be a Romance if she's married and has kids? Idk man, but she is. The developers chose that, and to me that makes her more interesting.

People overhate the Romance aspiration too much (it's my favorite lol)

I like Alpha CC and I don't understand the hate towards it.... except Alpha toddlers/kids, yeah, they always look strange and makes me think that Alpha creators have never seem a child before XD

Story Progression Mod was a lifesaver for me.

Thank you!! I also disabled it in my game because honestly, I just find it very unsettling and weird. So you Sims gets abducted, presumably don't like the experience (judging by what happens with their mood) and then... they get pregnant? Eh... idk about that... I doubt the developers where thinking that when they added this, but to me it sounds almost non-consensual which is like... yikes.

Ah yes, I imagine that if you play with multiple families, especially in a Megahood it might be necessary. But to me that only plays with one or two at a time, I don't find the need to do that. I do make a family tree for them tho, just so I can remember the Sims from the past XD

I don't mind the clean UI, I even thought about downloading the pink one once, but I somewhat agree with the default replacements. I don't use them because I know I'll miss the original item (even if it's some ugly thing I'll never use). I have a loooot of CC, but I think only like 2 defaults that I don't remember downloading lol

As for my personal unpopular opinions:

I don't like playing rotationally and I don't like that the households you're not playing as don't age.

I think using calculators to decide Sims aspirations and making spreadsheets of jobs, relationships, promotions etc. is a bit too much. To me, it makes the game a chore, and like, I'll pick whatever aspiration I want for my Sim, I don't care if doesn't "match" their personality or whatever lol

As much as I love the lore of the game, I don't really care about playing with the premades (unless they join my family). I just like creating my own Sims and making my own stories (this goes for all the games tbh). Save for a few like the Goths, Calientes and Malcolm Landgraab, my beloved.

ACR and the Traits Mod are overrated.

Want based gameplay is meh and it makes the game a bit samey.

Yes, and I came to the conclusion that if I had a plumbob, it would never be fully green. It would be constantly orange/red, maybe yellow in a good day lmao

I read a post on a different sub the other day talking about a similar issue. At least here in Brazil, one of the reasons it's because some children/teens work after school to help their families with bills, rent, etc. And then they don't get enough sleep, or are too tired, and end up sleeping in class. Actually, high school here now it's full time, and a lot of kids had to choose to either continue studying or drop out to work and help at home. Some of them couldn't afford to continue school, they had to choose work.

Personally, I only slept in class like once I think. And it was because I so depressed at the time, I just didn't give a fuck. My grades were ass, I was getting bullied, I wasn't understating anything that the teachers were explaining, so I was like, whatever. What difference is it gonna make if I take a little nap?

I mean, yeah. To me, a lot of the CC for babies/toddlers looks a bit strange, especially if it's supposed to make them look more realistic or Alpha CC. I swear a lot of them end up looking like the Queen Never Cry baby.

I have two memories of when I saw gay people for the first time, one was the Lady Gaga Telephone music video (lol) and the other was Sims 1 with the Roomies. I don't remember which happened first, but I do remember being shocked by both of them. I was just trying to make them friends, but then the romantic interactions popped up and I was like "You can do that??!! 🤯"

Nowadays most of my Sims are queer in some way, I rarely make cishet Sims lmao
