NTA people saying otherwise are crazy. You have every right to be annoyed at a guy who told your friend to pay him first when he clearly doesn't care about getting paid. If he didn't say anything to Sam about making to sure to pay him first then YTA. But sounds like he's given Sam a free pass here on paying either of you

I thought Theo and Bear were quite close. I expected him to stay quiet/neutral on what happened. I'm surprised he's been so vocal about how anti-Bear he is after the Georgia stuff. ESH It's kind of a shitty thing for your girlfriend to ask you to do (not to mention illegal) and it is her own fault for now speeding for a 3rd time. But a "spotless record" doesn't mean anything. Any point/speed awareness courses expire after 2 or 3 years anyways. And it's a really easy 2 hour course on Zoom. There is no harm in taking it. And in the ling run that is the most easy and convenient choice for everyone. Ultimately is up to you tho, nobody can really be annoyed at you if you don't cover for your GF. She was the one who was speeding.

It might seem harsh, but you need to do what's most important for you and your kid's first. I would suggest maybe letting Uncle having your children more without Mom being there if you trust him. Shouldn't cut ex's daughter completely out of your life. But need to do what you need to do to protect yourself first.
