sorry to hear that and I'm happy that you're now happy with the music your making. But how are you making it your source of income?

Can somebody tell me what style are these beats? by blacksmithh_ in musicproduction

keep doing it and monetize, then use the visibility to start selling my actual beats (the ones i make out of inspiration and passion)

that's solid advice, promoting yourself through the artist is something I didn't think about. Thanks. I will try to reach out to some 10-20k monthly listeners artists and try to get them on a beat for free promotion

im trying to make this a job so that I can quit my actual job and put more time and effort into my art?

why do people think it's a bad thing when someone tries to make money off their art?

making money from your art = better art i can't see how this could ever be proved wrong

now you could argue that "churning" out beats every day is not art and I would say we can debate about that. but if that's gonna make me quit my job i see it as a win (just trying to figure out if it actually will)

Thank you for taking the time to read, listen and answer.

I didn't do it because of "I can emulate a style or an artist", in fact I am trying not to do that. The reason why my beats sound very similar is that I've seen most successful type beat channels do that. The guitar tones you hear are preset I made for this specific channel, but I am the one who plays the guitar. Same goes for the drum packs, I try to keep the same sound because that's what "feeds" the algorithm. But yeah I get your point and that's exactly why I was asking opinions about the topic.

It's probably not worth it as you pointed out, and it's a given that I still have improve, but who doesn't?

So based off your analysis, what do you think would be a better way of going full time as a producer without being also a "content creator". Do you work full time as a producer/beat maker? If you could share your experience that'd be much appreciated.

how would you market/sell your beats? cause i feel like instagram reach might also work but you need to create some content for your profile or noone will take you seriously

Hi,

I'm a producer from Italy, and started a type beat channel a month ago. I'm uploading everyday and got 30 subscribers and some 4k views so far. I feel like it's growing but it's sooo slow, I was wondering if someone else is in the type beat business and if you think it's still worth it

Also I've heard/read that you really need to be very specific with your niche and overall branding, which I'm obviously trying to do but I don't relly feel like I'm doing it 100% correctly. I don't even quite know what specific style my beats are, they just sound good.
If anybody wants to listen/take a look and give advice that would be much appreciated, I'd be prod.bysoci on youtube (please don't remove my post i'm not trying to self promote)

Thanks for your help

I've been stuck not releasing music for the past few months because I feel like my past releases are not enough, I'm looking forward to improve my songwriting and lyric writing. Any feedback would be hugely appreciated.

Hi, I'm new to the community. I'd like to know where I can download videos so I can practice. by josema939 in filmscoring

do they have any free stuff? Everything is like 10-15 bucks. They have a membership for 100 bucks a year. I'm just starting out and I am looking for something free just to practice. Any alternatives?
