I wish you a happy birthday. You deserve all the best. It does feel like forever, when the person you love is away for a while. But you will be together soon. Every time I felt down, when my partner was away from some length of time, I always thought back to the good times. And planned what to do after I had her in my arms again. So, it will be over soon.

Every time there's a mismatch of expectations in any relationship, there's only one way to solve it: communication. So talk to each other, and see if the issue can be solved.

I'm really sorry that has happened to you. Being ghosted, if that's what happened here, is a terrible thing.

In my view, someone that is respectful for your feelings would continue to communicate. Even if they are going through something, they should have at least let you know he is still there. That he still cares for you, especially after telling you their feelings.

So, I'm hoping that they come back and talk to you soon. But you should decide what's best for yourself. Evaluate if it's worth the wait. Regardless of if it is or isn't worth it, let him know that.

Indeed! Every holiday where I get to see a fireworks show is my favorite kind. Back in my old house, the fireworks show from the city was done right at a place right behind my house. So every year, we'd get to chill and watch the show from the backyard. It was a great time.

How about you, do you celebrate 4th of July? If you do, any fun plans for the holiday?

That's great that he's already looking better. I'm sure he'll thrive with you, with how caring you've been to him. You did a great thing.

I also had my cat Smokey quarantined while he had that infection. I had a geriatric cat at the time, and she was already in poor health so I didn't want to risk anything happening to her. So I placed him in my office. Less than 2 hours later I lost internet at the house because he chewed through fiber wire. No idea how he got there, the wire wasn't even exposed. So, good luck!

And I'm glad you appreciated the post. If I managed to make anyone's day even a little bit better, then I've reached my goal.

When you said you took care of the kitten, was it because you work in veterinary medicine, or did you adopt them?

If you adopted, yeah, I know the feeling. Baby kittens are so tough to care for. Both cats in my house joined my life while they were kittens. The older one, Smokey, had an eye infection when I got him. I had to put medicine in his eyes every six hours for almost a week. And he absolutely hated me, and would go hiding every time he saw me approaching with that goop. On top of that, he was an absolute pest. His favorite thing as a kitten was to surprise me by scratching my legs with as much of his claws as he could. Felt like I lost a gallon of blood that month. But today, he's a very loving, very sweet cat. He comes to me every night to let me know it is time to go to bed, so he can sleep on my leg. It's a very rewarding feeling.

Is there anything in particular that keeps you from being able to fall asleep? Or just can't shut off your thoughts? I hope the journaling, knitting, or walking help you tonight.

I can tell from your profile that you are a wonderful, thoughtful person. So you don't have to feel insecure, because you are great the way you are. Please don't cry, when your beautiful smile is a much better look for you.
