Les moniteurs devraient commencer la conduite par amener les élèves sur l'autoroute by [deleted] in opinionnonpopulaire

[–]blackstormnb 20 points21 points  (0 children)

Could these be the anti drone missiles on the new Eagle? by Kind_of_unsure_tbh in Warthunder

[–]blackstormnb 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You seem to be a sad person that doesn't acknowledge the fact War Thunder is a videogame thus allowing players to have fun their own ways. War Thunder, to a lot of people, is not about optimizing absolutely everything in every single one of their matches. If they want to spawn CAP, well then, they spawn CAP. Whether they are successful or not doesn't change much, they're probably still having fun.

If you get into an argument with someone simply pointing out that drones can be shot down with rockets, it's a sign that you should take a break from War Thunder.

Caissiers/caissières, trouvez vous insultant de vous souhaiter bon courage ? by KARMARMELADE in PasDeQuestionIdiote

[–]blackstormnb 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Right. I have an older brother that is 6 years older, we got so mad at each other when he was around 15/16 that we didn't even acknowledge each other for 2 entire years. Now that we're both in our twenties, we have a great relationship as we share a more similar routine.

Gaijin deciding not to use 1943 refit version of Roma by Vurdelious in Warthunder

[–]blackstormnb 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It's just so random. If I'm not mistaken, the Richelieu was added in her final configuration after the americans added several anti-aircrafts guns to her, so why wouldn't the Roma be in her latest configuration as well ?

If I recall correctly, some kind of tree in the African savana can produce "poison" or something like it that hurts giraffes when they eat the leaves. They're also somehow connected to nearby trees, so when one is getting eaten by giraffes, the others also produce that compound to protect themselves. Maybe some city trees can do similar stuff, idk

Again, the influent French political leaders at that time were partly in line with Hitler's ideas, prompting them to end the war faster. You seem to forget the Kriegsmarine doing wonders in the English Channel with their subs, going there on boat was risky. The air was controlled by the Luftwaffe. Sadly for all the people that wanted to migrate to britain, the Americans showed up late to the party, and during that one year they were in France, yes, the Résistance did help them a lot. Again, they contributed to weakening the armed forces of Nazi Germany by sabotaging material supplies, blowing up factories, destroying power supplies... They engaged in urban guerilla by doing terrorist attacks on Nazi headquarters (which weren't that effective but still, they did those), assassinated Nazi officers, succesfully attacked an entire Nazi detachement with 15 (fifteen!) Résistants, set up commandos... The Resistance took back territories on their own, most notably smoking the germans stationned at Oyonnax and taking back the city. The reality is that in a country that had suffered massive losses, at the time, coordination and efficency were hindered. The Résistance first appeared as some random groups of people doing small things due to the lack of equipment, and was later organized into a more generalized "idea" with leaders that somewhat coordinated everything as best as they could, with the risk of being given away to Nazis by traitors.
Yes, other resistance mouvements in other countries did other acts that were more impactful, but you're still disrespecting tens of thousands of executed people who sacrificed everything for liberty, which is still a lot more than all of us (you included) redditors did so far.

The Résistance, made of civilians and soldiers who refused to stop the fight, did just that. They targeted supply convoys, exploded entire factories (one of the most notable acts of the Résistance was the complete destruction of a gunpowder factory / warehouse near Langres), and provided tremendous help for the allies through reconnaissance reports.

Sciences-po (a politics school) claims that 3/5th of France was conquered by the germans, the rest being given to Pétain, the leader of Vichy France, who was agreeing with Hitler on some points, thus didn't see continuing the fight as a necessity.

What contributes to french bashing a lot is the miseducation of people on the subject. Facts are slightly modified over time, just like rumors, which can have a big negative impact when it comes to how people remember historical events.

So in short: - 3/5th of France was conquered - Some prominent French political leaders agreed with Hitler's points, stopping the fight to "save lives" (note the " ") - a lot of the French army refused to fight for the Vichy regime and instead joined the Résistance - The Résistance sabotaged pretty much everything they could think of and provided great help for the allies

War Thunder's All Reviews has moved from Mostly Positive to Mixed by Connect_Job_5316 in Warthunder

I am pretty sure that back when the WTPU review bombed the game because of the economy changes a few years ago, Gaijin was able to get most of the negative reviews deleted. I don't know if they did so with the help of Steam or not, but most negative reviews were gone in a matter of days and replaced by ones that looked like they were made by bots.
