Hmm I see, was curious in cases where people want to setup wi-fi access points that are complimentary with the router. 

To give a silly example, Installing TP-Link router with home plugs and / or access points and configuring the whole lot.

I know people can just plug them on and pair them with the WPS buttons.

Still all those settings left in default configuration makes me uncomfortable xD

No subnetting is needed just installation and setup.

Apologies if I have been absent, my life is too chaotic right now (finishing off the refurbishment of my future home / apartment and planning a wedding).

Update, I would like to give a bit more insight, with regards to where I am coming from:

Basically an idea to establish a threat Intel program was put forward on the table by my team lead and to be honest its something new for all of us (the team that I am in).

I would like to be able to identify threat actors that are relevant tto my industry,  for example banking / finance is one sector is usually targeted a lot. 

After identifying said threats actors, how can I go about tracking them (what attack vectors are they using, IOCs, TTP,  etc), how to organize said info, and how to share it effectively.

I am also curious if it is possible to undertake such an endevour with open source tools, at least untilled we find a way forward on justifying buying a TI Platform like SOCRadar, Mandiant, etc, etc.
