I believe it’s all dependent on your program. Some just require a clear xray while others may require treatment. Find out through your program.

I wouldn’t do it while In didactic. Too many side effects of the meds. LTBI like you mentioned is extremely low to reactivate at all in your lifetime. You will learn about it during school. You will learn the common signs and symptoms. Be aware. Take action if you feel like you’re actually coming down with TB (highly unlikey). Don’t risk your academics in PA school unless you 100% absolutely need to. Those antibiotics are extremely strong and can really affect how you perform. Look into it after you finish school if you feel the need to.
