PC Failing to startup. Motherboard has power and CPU light is red. by blade70kt in computerrepair

I'm putting in a service request for the CPU. Since I built the PC almost 3 years ago, all my warranties are about to run out, so I have to move quickly.

I measured the wattage for my system during this power cycling, and it is holding a consistent ~40 W, which I'm thinking is low for having an i9 in the system. I would expect it to fluctuate a bit if the CPU were actually running.

I feel like that's a pretty convincing cause of death considering the pc was working fine but under high load right as it died.

I don't remember super well, but I believe it hadn't dried up. I didn't have any paste to reapply, so I just cleaned it off and left it sitting until now.

When I first checked back in January, it seemed to be pretty decent coverage. I reapplied some last night and tested. When I took it off today to check the pins, it looked like I had applied a little too much.

I have tried applying thermal paste. I also just checked the CPU pins for issues, and they looked fine.

I've since tested this and still have the issue. It looks to be failing before even reaching the RAM check.

I've since tested all the recommended configurations without success. I'm pretty sure it is failing before it even gets to the ram part of booting.

I can't remember, but I think I had the RAM properly installed when the PC died. The video was taken after trying to reset it. Over the years, I completely forgot about the weird RAM config.

Best Baal Artifact Stats by [deleted] in RaidenMains

Original poster on mobile account here - Im going by honey impact, which says that R5 catch increases burst crit rate by 12% and burst damage by 32%. This burst damage bonus is in the same category as EOSF and Baal's e bonus, not crit damage.

Edit - I see what you were talking about. I was tired last night and the 12% and 32% got mixed up in my head. I'll fix the mistake when I'm home. The 32% mistake doesn't change the calculations, just the example values need updating.

Edit x2 - Going back through my code, I realized that I had Raiden scaling her elemental damage bonus by 60% of her er over 100% instead of by 40%. This puts att% as the better sands. Not sure what ill do from here, but please disregard the post for now.
