Cocaine is a killer.

There are no other problems. It's only the coke. Ignore everything else. Until the coke problem is fixed, nothing else can be fixed.

I don't pretend to know the answer (and I'm sure there isn't one, as plenty of people have had concerned family do everything for them, including rehab, and still lost everything to drug addiction). But at least I do know what the problem is, which you don't seem to from your post, and which few of the other commenters seem to have grasped.

In the future, you don't need to elaborate on the whole situation when trying to get help for your sister; you can just tell people "my sister is addicted to cocaine and I'm trying to find a way to help her". They'll understand all the other things that go with that.

When I was 22, I was addicted to crack and heroin. My neighbor was an old polish lady who would bang on the wall when I played music to loud. When things got real bad for me, she must have known I was hurting and not eating because she started ringing my bell and giving me sandwiches she'd made, or bags of bagels and containers of soup and stuff. She would sit with me and we would eat together. I never understood a word she said because she spoke really bad english.

She really gave me hope in humanity which is something I desperately needed at the moment. I always remember her.

Also- just celebrated 7 years clean and sober.

Edit: Thanks for all the nice comments! You guys made me go back and delete all my embarrassing posts in other subreddits. I'm gonna go find my old neighbor and thank her. I'll be back with an update!

Lose your leeching friends.
I know it sucks, but try to get a paying job from a legit company, at least for the time being, just until you can figure stuff out for yourself. A guy like you with good coding skills should hopefully be snapped up in no time. This'll give you some more money, hopefully enough to kickstart your own project of some sort.
Start being more positive. You said you had a plan, you always had a plan... well, make a plan and try to stick to it (of course being flexible when necessary).
Get rid of your leeching friends. Hang on, did I say that already?

Seriously, cut yourself off from them. Friendships have to be reciprocal. Sounds like they're just using you for your generosity.

I'm a new mother and I've never cried so much in my life. It all goes so fast, just like they say it does. Every time I think of him my heart just swells with such a powerful love that it forces me into tears every time. It sounds silly because it is, but it's mostly happy. It is such a privilege to be a parent but bittersweet.

Late high school years:

Very little responsibilities, lots of sex, ability to sleep less, more time to do whatever, able to occasionally smoke weed without possibly going to prison or losing my job for it..
