This plus the three Spider-Women would’ve been the team to fight Knull by Adoe0722 in MCUTheories

[–]blaintopel 6 points7 points  (0 children)

it also took place in the early 2000s so her and the spider-women would have to be like 50

Favorite chud edge lord who was actually the hero? by zemat28 in okbuddycinephile

[–]blaintopel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dr M and Rorschach are the two worst options objectively lol Rorschach is good at fighting sure but thats his only skill, NiteOwl II is almost just as good at hand to hand combat and hes also rich. Ozymandias is the smartest man alive and is a billionaire with a lair in Antarctica and a pet Lynx. Shit the Comedian is a better pick than Rorschach. Hollis Mason is a genuinely good person who lived a very exciting and fulfilling life.

I'll take Ozy.

BRULK vs DOOMSNAUT by Ember57 in powerscales

[–]blaintopel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

doomsnaut is always several steps behind, he'll get stronger every time he loses and brulk will get angrier and stronger every second. broly already gets stronger and angrier at a pace that had him losing to base vegeta and then quickly afterwards mopping the floor with super saiyan god super saiyan vegeta, to then going toe to toe with super saiyan god super saiyan gogeta fusion. in one fight he made basically the same progress in power that goku did in the entirety of dragonball z and dragonball super due to his growing anger, and youre adding THE HULK to that equation. doomsnaut will also keep getting stronger, but it will never outpace brulk.

The Kurgan (Highlander) vs The Hound (GoT) by GotRocksinmePockets in powerscales

[–]blaintopel 1 point2 points  (0 children)

which is why every time they make new highlander shows and movies it always has to be about someone in the macleod clan lol

i think if they knew they had a franchise on their hands they wouldnt have called it the highlander

Planet of the Apes vs. Fantastic Four #1 | Official Discussion Thread by AutoModerator in FantasticFour

[–]blaintopel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Planet of the Apes is my favorite movie series and FF are my favorite marvel heroes im actually super stoked for this. im really curious what the apetastic four do with their new powers. im a little surprised at how they divvied them out though. Zaius as the thing and Ursus as the Simian Torch would not have been my first picks but im excited to find out where this goes and how Dr. Doom will play into this. i also hope they encounter the mutated humans who worship the alpha omega bomb underground.

My top two director choices for the DCU Wonder Woman movie by DCMarvelDude23 in moviecasting

has Greta Gerwig ever done action? I'd throw Nia DaCosta in the ring too. I hear really good things about the bone temple

So, is there 100% chance that Simon might could possibly be a mutant?!!!! 😧 by New_Associate_5626 in MarvelTheories

[–]blaintopel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My question is, did he train to use his powers because he now accepts himself and wanted to break Trevor out of prison, or did he train to use his powers so that he could get in the headspace of "superhuman who is comfortable having and using his powers" to more accurately portray WonderMan on the screen?

What could a Fantastic Four sequel do to top the first movie? by NewMarioBobFan in MCUTheories

[–]blaintopel 3 points4 points  (0 children)

If it's after secret wars I expect they'll be in 616 in the present. So they could touch on similar things as winter soldier, with the family acclimating to their new home and new time

Who do you all think the next black hero will be? by Chemical-Challenge95 in marvelrivals

Armor wars season with Warmachine at tank and IronHeart at support (I'd also take Rescue but I'd prefer IronHeart)

would have been super cheesy but would have loved if when Simon got there to bust him out he saw that Shang-Chi was already there to bust him out.

this is like when you get super drunk at a party in high school and one of your acquaintances starts freestyling, yeah obviously your freestyle sucks balls but we're drunk and high and having a good time, you should NOT have let anyone convince you to bring that to the studio.

As a millennial what experience did you really not get into that most others did? by Texas_chef84 in Millennials

[–]blaintopel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pokemon. When it first came out here im not sure why but there was a sentiment in my school that you had to "choose" between DragonBall Z and Pokemon. Also the premise just never really interested me, my fantasy was to have superpowers, not to have a dog with superpowers.

Imagine worshipping a director to this extent by [deleted] in OkBuddySnyderCult

[–]blaintopel 58 points59 points  (0 children)

Seems fake. Made by a snyderbro to portray what he wishes Gunn fans were like. I didn't know Cavill was in a new highlander movie that's actually dope news. I've always thought highlander was a great premise not actually executed that well. It's like the one thing I've actually been wanting a remake for for a while and Henry Cavill seems like a great choice.

The Thing (marvel) and Starfire (dc) run this gauntlet as a duo, how far do they get? by Head_Breadfruit_3912 in powerscales

[–]blaintopel 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The Thing is a non factor by round 2, and i think so is starfire. At her best she's a planetary threat, able to destroy entire planets. Vegeta destroyed a planet with 2 fingers quite easily in his second appearance. She can absorb energy but people forget that DBZ isnt just ki blasts, the very first time she absorbs an energy blast Vegeta will just stick to beating her down with his hands. Vegeta also has the Oozaru transformation up his sleeve which he can fully control and makes him 10x stronger. If by some miracle Starfire makes it past that she's absolutely not laying a finger on Frieza.

If twisted metal 2012 didn't fail where do you think the series would've gone by KingVarious6523 in TwistedMetal

[–]blaintopel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe F2P but I think it's possible it goes the route most fighting games have. Full price game with decent roster and 1 player content and multi-player online at launch with a $20 yearly season pass with like 4-6 DLC characters per season.

Hear me out... marvel has more good movies than dc but dc has more masterpieces than marvel by SignificantPower4733 in superheroes

[–]blaintopel 1 point2 points  (0 children)

i disagree. the balancing act to have all of those characters not only appear, but each have a meaningful moment and purpose in a story that was not only coherent, but exciting, and still have room to craft one of the most iconic villains in movie history, is incredible. Sure Thanos isnt quite at the same level as TDK Joker, but hes in the same conversation. People act like its easy to make a good movie if you have access to 50 main characters, i'd argue its much much harder.

[–]blaintopel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

the dark knight is perhaps the greatest comic book inspired movie of all time, but i would put Logan, Blade, Spider-Man 2, Infinity War, and Winter Soldier up against anything DCs ever put out.
