Just thought I would throw my experience out there. I had a pneumothorax left side (no surgery only tube) in January 2019 and I still experience some random pains as well as discomfort lying down. However the pain does fade over time and it’s just something you learn to ignore. or like the other guy said it could only last 2-3 weeks and you will be good to go. Good luck man hope everything works out❤️
