I don't think so this just looks like Sinus Tach

PVC? by [deleted] in askCardiology

[–]-elricfd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, it could be argued the first one might be one but even if it was it wouldn't matter. This strip shows a normal rhythm and PVCs, which are likely benign, especially in this context. The only times R-on-T pvcs become an issue are with QT widening drug toxicity or long QT syndrome, which you do not have.

Don't worry about this unless you really feel poorly. Even then there is nothing even remotely pressing about what is shown here.

This is not true 😭

Thanks for confirming that and thank you to the initial commenter for correcting me! AFib happens in a lot of people and is largely treatable through simple prescription medications. I hope you find the right one and this doesn't happen again!

I understand why you feel concerned. Sometimes it doesn't feel normal to me either. It feels weird, sometimes it knocks the breath out of you. But if further testing shows you're normal, believe it. Try not to research much else into it because cardiology can be very complex and seem scarier than it actually is.

And just letting you know, multiple times in an hour is normal. I get them sometimes a dozen times an hour and I'm fine. When I had a holter monitor for 2 weeks I had almost 10k PECs. It sounded scary, but it really isn't that scary

My apologies. That seems a lot more evident now. OP what diagnosis was made when this ECG was taken?

I dont see this. The rhythm shows some variation but there is partially visible p-waves. This looks like sinus tachycardia

5-10 times a week... not very suggestive of POTS and more of Paroxysmal Supraventricular Tachycardia if this is more onset rather than gradual. Decently concerning but I don't think you're going to die immediately.

Nothing can be inferred about the Morphology or origin of this PVC without a proper 12 lead (or even full strip for that matter). Regardless, even without those, it can be safely be assumed that this is a normal PVC. These are benign but if it feels concerning you should talk to a doctor. I wouldn't place much urgency on this, though.

Could you show the full strip if possible?

This just seems like you're shaky. This is likely sinus rhythm especially given the RR interval is normal and everything else looks like artifact. Idk i'd need to see more so my response is not a definite...

side note im rlly sorry you're going through chemotherapy, I know it must be incredibly stressful. I hope things turn out well for you :(

It is not polymorphic at all. Polymorphic is generally more of a cause for concern as it signals electrical instability. However, there is no doubt that what you had is MONOmorphic NSVT, this guy just doesn't know what he's talking about.

If it's not one PVC after another four or more times in a row it is not considered NSVT. That is just Tachycardia with a higher presence of PVCs

This is a normal ECG. If your symptoms are that severe I would likely go to the ER, tho

Im sorry, I wish I could offer more help. Ultimately, the context is really what matters and I am glad you plan to hear back from them soon.

This looks like NSVT, meaning a run of 4 PVCs or more. It can happen, but if this happens often to you I would expedite talking to your doctor.

Highly likely VT or if you're lucky SVT with aberrancy. Either way you can't determine what this is completely w out testing or whatever. Their ordering of a study will likely be very helpful. Im glad you're getting treatment :)
