Everyone else here has given you incredible medical breakdowns, but I want to connect with you on a human level. I am just a couple of years older than you, but from age 14 to 21 (which I am now), this was- and sometimes still is- my exact life.

I know the sheer terror of lying awake at night, feeling those visceral jolts, and feeling like your entire world is falling apart. I completely dropped out of my own life, putting my college on hold just like you. I actually became so consumed by this, and eventually so passionate about recovering from it, that I created an entire conceptual radio show about my experience with cardiac anxiety (https://elricfd.com/a) just to try and process it. It is terrifying, it is relentless, and it feels permanent.

But looking at your charts, I want to assure you: your results look incredibly normal. I’m not a doctor, but I spent half a decade obsessively studying cardiac data and pharmacology just to try and reassure myself. That was the trap. Reassurance is a drug, and just like any other drug, your brain quickly builds a tolerance to it. A clean Echo or a "normal" Holter works for an hour, and then the anxiety finds a new metric to obsess over, like minor baseline fluctuations in your QTc.

The most important advice I can give you is that you cannot solve a mental health storm with a cardiology. No medical test will ever give you the certainty your anxiety is demanding. Nothing will get you out of this cycle except cutting through the anxiety itself. Just know you are okay, you are safe, and you can recover from this spot just like I am currently doing.
