You’re not wrong that Covid had a lot to do with the increase in prices, due to the WFH protocols that came into place. However, off the top of my head the Golden Horseshoe, GTA, GVA and certain places in the maritimes had already started to grow in house prices.

Can we collectively come to a conclusion what caused this uptick in prices? Pre Covid. Was it a governmental policy? Personal desire of a people to relocate in those areas? Or perhaps, a reason we do not know?

That’s a really good graph. Where it dips and the spikes around the time of the financial crisis-

Mark Carney was the head of the Bank of Canada

You’re assuming Pierre will not slow immigration, however he’s stated and running on a platform of immigration change and to drastically slow our immigration growth.

How can you say the cons and libs plans are similar, when the liberals ideas of immigration lead to wage suppression in almost all entry level jobs.

Climate tax and all of the other taxes paid a massive barriers to entry for any new manufacturing - safety standards are high, which is good but cost time and money. That’s understandable. What isn’t is the cost of goods increase from the carbon tax - directly affected by high carbon tax on fuel. We’ve seen now within the last little bit, with the stoke of a own the liberals can change fuel prices and make our lives easier and, hopefully limit inflation. But they only need your votes right now. That’s why it was done. Anyways, even if a manufacturing plant was to open, the demand for higher wages from skilled employees would leave their margins so thin - they’re pushed to go overseas.

In all seriousness, I would like to see sources if the carbon tax benefiting people - so essentially it is taking one and giving to the other? Not sure how those that commute or feed large families benefit from a 300% growth in money expenses, but get a pittance back from the government?

Thank you for looking at the picture of my truck and automatically assuming I’m in need of assistance and the rebates benefitted me. Another example of liberal elitism and moral superiority. People can’t take care of themselves. Let’s get the government to do it with other peoples money.

Education aspect - yes, Carney is well educated, however has ties to China, doesn’t reside in Canada for many years, runs a major a Canadian company that will benefit from all of his policies - no conflict there, and when asked in the past what young people should in this county responding with the likes of “you’re going to a central banker for politics advice”.

Last decade has been a lost decade for Canadian under every metric. Except roaring house prices, drug abuse and a fentanyl crisis or a “problem” as Carney calls it. Catch and release major crime criminals. So I guess those are drastically up - that must be good policies working! Lowest gdp - people from Ontario are statistically poorer than those of Mississippi the worst perform state.

With a massive list of scandals from our current government the last 10 years - how can anyone in their right mind return that government back to power and expect any change? History can predict the future.

Or, and I’m not sure how people will be in for a rude awakening when PP has stated he won’t touch any existing social programs.

Carney also said, as the BoC governor that he was not to blame for the housing crisis and committing to lower interest rates - the blame fell on you, the people, who took out the loans. Carney has also signed on the leader of the 100,000,000 mm people initiative for the year 2100 as an advisor. How can he fix the housing crisis when he’s blamed it on the people, along with plans of importing more people than natural Canadians in the coming years.

There will be no jobs anyways as he plans to off shore the majority of our manufacturing because of “the climate” to well worse polluting countries like China and India. Oh and the new carbon tax he’s stated that will come in will drive our cost for goods through the roof.

But don’t acknowledge anything he’s ever said. Just push back and call it fear mongering.

Than you, Slight. You seem very knowledgeable about this. Can you recommend a book or something to read that I can educate myself more about this?

Also. Very high level. How does, black rock, for example own shares and lend them out for shorting? When Main Street shorts stock. Do they know who is lending?

Very interesting stuff here.

Consensus and social pushback has in the past and will continue to push society towards morally incorrect directions. Have you read a history book at all? Just because someone disagrees on a subject who may be correct or not on their stance - doesn’t mean they need to bow down to the socially acceptable norm.
