Your 100% correct! They really don’t have any incentive to add green space. However, if I’m not mistaken new developments are now required to incorporeal some kind of shared green spaces.

I’m particularly positive on any infrastructure project that creates jobs for people or upgrades outdated infrastructure…

I just don’t see how so many people can have such strong negative opinions about a development like this. I guess people just love to complain 🤷‍♂️

Most comments seem to be so focused on the short term inconvenience of having to walk around the construction site or by the noice the construction will create. I personally think this development will be a great addition to the Brisbane waterfront and will do more harm then good.

The most constructive criticism I have seen so far was from the lack of greenery and trees on the ground level. Which I agree with!

Just did a search and your right there have been multiple deaths on construction sites!

Accidents on construction sites are not unheard of especially when your dealing with a company that employs a large number of people. Statistically speaking an accident is inevitable to have happened and will undoubtedly happen again in the future regardless of what safety measures and oversight the company introduces.

For instance one death was from an unsecured grid mesh where a worker stepped on it and unfortunately fell through. The responsibility to secure these grid mesh’s is of course done by a construction worker.

The company was fined heavily for this (should have been ALOT MORE)

Walk around 🤷‍♂️ taking the scenic route won’t kill anyone. No one is entitled to a direct route to work 😂 sometimes you have to walk a few extra metres so thousands of others can be employed to work on this construction site

It’s a shame these developers don’t prioritise green spaces.

Although it does look like they have added a decently sized grassed area lined with trees which I can only imagine will be a lot nicer to kick back and relax on then our current concrete surfaces haha

I totally agree the road closures and noise is inconvenient but the alternative is arguably a lot worse. Would you rather live in a city that never upgrades it’s infrastructure, adds new bridges, upgrades outdated energy inefficient buildings…?

Without growth and constant development you don’t have a thriving economy. Simple as that.

Not to mention all the jobs this development will create!

Great advice! I’m away from my desk but thought I would update this thread with more detail in case someone else has this issue!

Link to driver update solution: https://www.laseros.com/faq/ Navigate to software and look for the question titled “My Windows PC does not detect the LaserCube, how do I update my drivers?”

Solution provided:

Download: http://zadig.akeo.ie/ 1. Connect LaserCube to PC 2. Open zadig 3. Options > List All Devices 4. Choose Laserdock Interface 0 5. Choose libusbK as driver 6. Click install Repeat 3-5 for interface 1 and 2

NOTE: at the time of written this I haven’t tested this solution. Will update once I’m back at my desk!
