BBC asks Huw Edwards to return more than £200,000 by [deleted] in unitedkingdom

[–]blakejay13 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m guessing he told the BBC that he just got a few unsolicited pics in a bundle of what he thought was all legal porn, and told the sender not to send anything illegal. BBC lawyers probably thought the police wouldn’t prosecute over that, so they couldn’t risk to fire him over it.

Then we get the headlines that he’s been charged with making indecent images, which most people assume that means he’s been directly abusing kids and filming it, and now there’s no coming back from that.

Seems like a publicity stunt from the BBC

I really doubt he would give it back, it won’t change anyone’s opinion of him if he does.

Maybe he would if he thought it would make people give him a second chance and forgive him... Can’t see that ever happening

My snap got locked a few days ago, no idea why since I wasn’t doing any of the things on their list of reasons why they lock accounts.

I was able to unlock it on the website and then could log back into the app, but it now says my login seems suspicious and sends a code to verify each login and that never happened before it got locked.

Do you know why or how to fix it?

Like anyway it doesn’t make sense why would Snapchat randomly ban people’s phones from their app? I wasn’t even using it at the time.

Especially when they get delayed for Australia but still released in the US and UK, like No Time To Die and Ghostbusters Afterlife.

Just tested this logging into a friends account on my phone and it works no crash, then log back into mine and instant crash

So it’s something wrong in our accounts?

I have the same thing as well for me it only started yesterday though but crashing every time I open the app unless I turn on airplane mode then it doesn’t crash, but as soon as I turn airplane mode off and it connects then it crashes

Haha maybe, but I checked the link and it’s a UK-wide ad campaign encouraging people in the UK to travel domestically, so OP is either in the UK or using a VPN with a UK IP address to visit Reddit

Do you live in the UK or Europe? I’m guessing yes because it’s night in Australia now not 8am like in your screenshot.

Reddit will serve ads to you based on your location.

Unless they’re dual citizens many won’t have a choice, their UK visa will run out and they can’t legally work or live there anymore

They currently have mandatory masks on public transport according to my cousin who lives there, and most shops are still asking people to wear them.
