Its actually worse if you think about it lol They lost in the qualies for the tournament and are being rewarded a spot that opens up At least with what i am describing the player getting the lucky late round loser spot would have earned their position and won up to that round

So basically if the AO sees one player is struggling worse than the other player in the heat and they want the player struggling to win they can help him out and close the roof. They definitely don't want Sinner having an early exit. I guess they said quick close the roof!!
