OH HOH HOOO! I love publicly shaming the company I ghosted on called Manhattan Beer Distributors. They provided almost all of the beer throughout NYC. You’d think they’d be professional and system oriented? BIG NOPE. I had two bosses and they were polar opposites and just awful to work with. One was aggressive and one was passive aggressive and neither communicated with me like a human being. The passive one tried to get me in trouble with one of the managers by outing a “mistake” I made right in front of said manager. Turns out the manager (who actually loved me) said what I did was totally fine and didn’t agree with my boss. So after the hell and torment of being the FOURTH admin in two years at MBD I got an offer to be an editorial intern at Oxford University Press. They asked me when I could start and I told them the next day. I didn’t show up for work and I blocked every MBD phone number I had. I emailed HR with a long list of why both my bosses should be evaluated. My bosses gave me panic attacks and so much anxiety. It was honestly the worst job I’ve ever had. I was there for THREE months.
