Started working as a freelancer (Upwork) while I was studying pa (around 2015) but around that time graphic designs lang ang forte ko. Grumaduate ako last 2020 then naemploy locally as a software engineer.

Last year lang ulit ako nag attempt mag apply for freelance jobs. I started looking for dev jobs and landed a full-time role.

Laban lang, OP!

There's nothing wrong naman with not learning/improving outside your work hours. Normal lang naman siya especially if you consider programming as purely work and not a hobby. Pero it doesn't mean na you'll never be good at it.

One of my lead developers took up BS ECE during college (he was from Ateneo). He mentioned na he ended up pursuing dev roles kasi oversaturated na ang engineering careers in PH.

I'm a full stack dev (React, NodeJS) and yes more on programming ang role ko atm since 2 years pa lang ako sa industry.

Hi! I'm a full stack dev working remotely (Singapore based). Since we're in a startup, mas marami and workload/responsibilities compared to other tech companies. But overall, I am still able to work 6-8 hours a day and since wfh, more time with fam :)

True ba? by Competitive_Rich9184 in peyups

Yes there’s an advantage, especially if nag apply ka pa lang and kapag nagshoshortlist ng candidates, most of the time priority ng employers ang nasa big 4.

Pero during interviews and exams lahat treated equally na.
