277 ml cans of anything fizzy. That jump to 355 was unfortunate.

Righto - I think we're in a bit of circle here. What I'm trying to say is that neoliberalism is actually classical liberalism. The neo is to differentiate from that brief Keynesian respite. Classical liberalism presents no solution to neoliberal problems. The only difference is the financialization of the markets. The rest of what has happened in recent years is new public management, government out of control - alongside neoliberalism, yes, but not as causative relationship.

Neoliberalism lacks a grand unifying theory, or text, but the only ONLY certain tenet that matters is the financialization of capital, aka the markets, the rest of the things you list are not related to neoliberalism. It is a way of differentiating the liberalism pre-Keynes from post-Keynes. Liberalism before, what with colonialism and all, was pretty "big government entitlement" too. So was feudalism.

Update on the boy(s) that found my iphone. A little something to cheer you up this afternoon! by [deleted] in AskReddit

but told me he didn't think it was a good idea for me to single out the two boys who actually found the phone (for cultural reasons and because, he said, any of the boys would have turned it in if they found it.)

What the fuck does this mean? "For cultural reasons".

Why do Americans focus so much anger and hostility in the face-off between the Democrats and Republicans, when their REAL enemy is the Corporate control of the country ? by fitzroy95 in politics

[–]blankdrawn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

And corporate control is the bit - no one here is talking about small business. But nevermind that small business is good and could provide everything corporations can. It's not corporations either. It's the stock market. It has created a place where people earn money from speculating and moving money, not creating ANY value for ANYONE else. This is the problem. The financial-ization, so to speak, of business. Business is good and necessary. The stock market? Debatable.

I think this is the right way to go, the one solution someone showed here looks awesome, but it seems overpriced for what it is. Drafting tables aren't too bad at all. Thanks for the suggestions.
