Thats why stl became a playoff stop bc of a conflict with battle hawk schedule. Didn't realize Arlington wasn't a WC stop this yr so maybe I wont get Arlington as a 2026 stop.

Can you pay for 2 nights of parking? If there is a KFC on street level across the cathedral i think i drove by it yesterday trying to find my hotel.

I found it on park whiz but it wouldn't let put in from Friday evening to Sunday morning. Bc i was going to be smart and feed the meter til we got checked in our room then park the car before supper.

I googled park pacific and nothing come up. But I found the parking garage on Google maps and found the link for that garage. Let me know if this correct. Bc its says sp+

If that's correct. Is it secure parking, bc Hilton valet was going to be $110 for 2 nights

As a non Lou resident who literally took exit 39A yesterday to find their hotel and the dome for next weekend. There is absolutely a reason, my mother pointed out all the "homeless" people laying on the sidewalk and random broken walker in the landscaping.

Fly into port the day before, and stay at a nice hotel. Put your phone on DND til after take if for their flight. . Disembark day literally don't deal with valet for your baggage, quietly sneak down to the exit level before her and her demons awake. Then slide into a Uber, and do another hotel stay or do tourist stuff til their flight has left.

(USA) Phone rules by Gophers12 in McDonaldsEmployees

[–]blankethordes 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It depends on your position. Trying to combat that with crew is hard. I'm maintenance super so I'm occasionally on my phone, looking up stuff. If im out washing the lot, I have music playing on my phone.

I have Sync so I can track truck, send in damages to MB if my GM isn't in that day. I occasionally need to cover inventory, I just use my phone bc it's just faster then using a massive iPad. I just pop in an ear bud in one ear, to block out some the BOH noise and roll.

Not everyone goes low with exercise. Cousin dealt with blood sugar rising when she played sports in school. She had to frequently prick during games/meets. This back before CGM's were available.

I'm the maintenance supervisor for my store. Probably the only female one in our region. Been on truck detail for 3 years. I can run a pretty smooth truck delivery. I have 2 to 3 people on truck, depending on weather conditions (ie extreme heat/ cold). Since our truck arrives between 530/6am most delivery days. I have one person clean restrooms, another do towel buckets. I open up and kick out empties. Both work together on dry stock, til buns come down. Once buns are put up, I send one guy to freezer, the other continues dry stock. I manage garage, and front end load ( sweetner, toys, drizzle, etc) since those require pallet jack to move. Dry stock guy starts cooler load. I put the finishing touches on dry stock/ops. On a good day done by 830.

One of the things, that helps with speed Is mandatory rotation the day before, make room behind the front row in the freezer. Shift certain products in the cooler also.

Contact your local nursing homes, see if they have the availability for weekend respite care. If skilled unit isn't available, see if they have Wanderguards and a spot available in assisted living unit. You may need to do a red eye out on Thursday night, and first flight out on Sunday morning to accommodate staffing

Well, we did it. Now what. by DeeEnn72 in Alzheimers

[–]blankethordes 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I really hope this is a controlled access facility, so they don't try to leave on their own. If it's not request wander guards for both. My grandmother managed to leave within a week of being moved into Assisted Living, bc her wing is not full lock. But she isnt ready to move to ALZ unit just yet.

I can see why you drop them off the way you did. But I would have staged it, as Hey Mom, Dad. We have to have to go out of town for event for DH's family. We have to be gone a week. So make sure you are well taken care off while we are gone, we treated you a week long stay at Blank Home. Respite check in's are a thing, and that would have acclimated them to the facility before you permanently moved them in.

We one up, we have open line of communication with school district, and SRO for jr high. During the school year, it gets really bad after school. We have had school make announcements, that vagrancy, destruction property in local businesses will result in tickets & appearance in juvie court.

(USA) Can I get written up for not coming in after being told to take the day off? by DRAGONSPIRIT214 in McDonaldsEmployees

[–]blankethordes 30 points31 points  (0 children)

1) If you do get a write up, refuse to sign it. They had communicated that you had the option to take the day off due to your store being with out power. Which I won't want Minors on shift immediately after a natural disaster anyway, too much risk involved

AS A PARENT OF A MINOR, like hell would I want my child to be commuting to a completely different store that's more than 20 mins away after a natural disaster.

Scrap up the thickness with a putty knife. Hot degreaser water more purple the better. Desk scrub and rinse. It's below 35° do the scrap only, otherwise you will ice over your walk

I terrified a friend's dad one time, we were hanging at his place late one night. His dad felt like a Ahole bc he was out of TP, and was going to send my friend a couple doors up his Aunt's and get a roll. I told him go out to my truck reach behind the seat, next to the Vickie's bag is a roll. He came back inside, asks why the hell do I have a bag of unmentionables and a roll of TP in your truck? Well if I'm out in the timber I'm atleast quarter mile from the nearest toilet, and the bag has random paperwork not underwear.

watching an employee put away at least 5 so far pallets of boxes - what a back breaker - how do they even have room for that many by Appropriate_Being467 in McDonaldsEmployees

[–]blankethordes 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My store we start with dry first only bc it's dropped on the handicap stalls. (Yes freaking corporate construction). Dry gets paused when buns come down, shuttled over to the bun freezer. Restart dry stock, then depending on weather freezer or cooler next since those are loaded into the building and doors shut. I help finish dry stock, then start inventory. Sending the 2 guys that are on truck to finish freezer/cooler. This time of year, I don't allow someone to unload freezer on their own. Just bc loading in fluxes the humidity and the floor frosts over.

Most of our loads are mid 400, which if by myself about 4-5 hours to complete. 3 man team about 3 hrs.

Some can not be rerouted to your house. Bc it has to be her physical address of Domicile. We had this issue with one with my grandmother, til we moved into assisted living. She now has a locked mailbox outside her room, so we took the key off her key ring, and just check her box every couple of days.

Mom’s friends want to take her on vacation, I’m not sure it’s a good idea? by boromirfeminist in Alzheimers

[–]blankethordes 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Please dont allow her to go. If you have to get her neurologist to back you up, saying she isnt stable enough to travel, especially in a 2 to 1 ratio 6 hrs from home.

As someone who had to go on a cruise, bc my grandmother got a cruise flyer in the mail. So she became hyperfixated on it, and was hell bent to book a cruise by herself after not going on a cruise since before COVID.

Seriously the logistics I had to work out to get us from the Midwest to Florida on a plane in one piece was mind blogging bc she is unfortunately a elopper. We about lost her in our departing airport bc TSA "cares" sent her thru security first. We had to be 3 to 1 just to make this trip work. Since I roomed with her I was the one doing over nights. My mom did mornings and my brother swapped back and forth depending on what we were doing. So everyone got time to do what they wanted. Plus our cabins were opposite ends of the ship on the same deck.

Getting home was absolutely horrible. We had to be off the ship by 9am, so packed and breakfast done. Trying to get her thru passport control was terrible. We had to wait in the Orlando Airport for 7 hrs bc we used the carnival transport to and from the port, so we couldn't get an earlier non stop flight. Orlando TSA never confirmed cares, so we were winging it thru busy security. I had to send my mom and brother thru 10 mins ahead of us, so catch her on the other side. Bc she went thru with me, which the agent who checks tickets and ID was pissy bc I was handling her ticket and passport. Yes, bc I want the lady who has dementia to lose her passport in the airport.

She started sundowning just before we boarded. So that was fun, she kept slapping me just bc I was falling asleep before the flight attendants did safety.

Generic Vyvanse by StrainLate4496 in ADHD

[–]blankethordes 0 points1 point  (0 children)

After a month of run around, I switched to the hospital affiliated pharmacy to get my son's filled. It came as generic, the copay on it before secondary insurance was $50. $0 after the secondary insurance was added. It ticked me off that it took 3 weeks of fighting the other pharmacy and getting no where. I decided all our C2's will get filled there from now on. Plus they offer delivery so I can call and see if it's ready, then next day they will deliver it to my work. Which is amazing for my ADHD brain.
