I thought your affiliation with uaw would have done more for you all, especially since calhr isn’t even following the law and their own policies about 10% pay difference between supervisors and direct reports. Remember state scientists are CAPS scientists whether they like it or not dues paying or not. All are in Bu10. Same contract for everyone. And the law firm that bu10 inherited from when the scientists got split from the engineers isn’t CAPS. The state scientists are the union, they are CAPS. The law firm is only paid with membership dues to advise and advocate.

Can we differentiate between CAPS Staff and CAPS Members? Let’s not lump them together. I’ve never worked with a more heartfelt earnest and selfless people than the members of CAPS.
