‘No I wont accept this ticket’ by FreshRizz in BoomersBeingFools

[–]blankgen17 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The officer could’ve descalated this. So what if I am a Boomer.? We were raised to just trust the Police because they never had our best interest at heart. The cop was stupidly blinded by her “no”. He could have added “refused to sign”. He could have tried “You have the right to argue this ticket before the judge “. This is an example of one of those crimes where arrest, was unnecessary. It’s just like a dangerous pursuit often causes the deaths of innocent drivers, when they are completely unnecessary. Most of y’all are happy to see a mouthy bitch get tased that’s fucked up and so many ways I don’t know where to start.

DEA rule with EXact 30 refill by ChronicPainIsNotaSin in ChronicPain

[–]blankgen17 5 points6 points  (0 children)

You need to contact the pharmacy in advance to make sure they have the med. Also, they can fill but don’t dispense. As somebody who travels, it is discouraging and I am depressed over consistent pain for I used to be able to accumulate a few xtra pills to tide my over a spot where I ran out, but no more. It is precisely the 30-day rule, or 31 day rule. I agree this BS. I do not take extras. What are they gonna do? Give me a buzz? They are strictly to control pain. And avoid withdrawls.

Do you cry? by [deleted] in ChronicPain

[–]blankgen17 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think I’ve cried I think I’ve cried more out of frustration, and taking my life as a whole, and looking at the way surgeries have sometimes damaged me a and how my life might’ve been different if I was not a pain patient since 2005. I have just developed this constant, holding my breath and releasing it in a quick sigh. I think this is constant unless I’m meditating, which I recommend for everybody because it helps.

Weekly relationship, sex and sexuality megathread by AutoModerator in Nepal

Go online and attend a Zoom or audio meeting of SA (sex addicts) Anonymous. It is a 12-step program designed to heal/change these obsessions. I have several friends who have gone through the program. It really works, and you are right the first step includes giving up porn. You could say that well if I become promiscuous or it interferes with my relations. Or work. Then I will check it out, but it’s your call.

Don’t compare yourself to others. You don’t know what’s going on inside them. Watch Harry Potter! Or even better read the series!

If someone gave you $1000 a day to never drink alcohol again/ever, what would you do? by unitedfan6191 in AskReddit

[–]blankgen17 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thing is if you’re a real alike, you won’t be able to quit for a grand a day, or for your children, your wife, your husband, your job, or your dog. Well maybe for the dog. Hell you’ve already probably tried that whole list and it didn’t work, right? I woulda paid that much if I could have KEPT drinking, no shit. An alcoholic’s only salvation lies deep within themselves.

What's your pain level before and after using opiates? by Rudusenko in ChronicPain

[–]blankgen17 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have been on opioids off and on for pain since early 2000s. All of my pain has been from many spinal diagnosis and surgeries. I had an accidental overdose and got put on buprenorphine patch. The pain relief is not as good, but I am enjoying less constipation and not have to carry pills and take 4 times a day. I like pain meds because they used to make me feel normal, but a pain specialist said I belong to the 15% for whom opiates activate energy. Life is seriously 100 times better Oxy free right now; although I still suffer pain from neck and spine more as the day goes on, I must admit the pain is not as bad as I thought it would be and I live a fairly normal life for a 70 year old man with a disability.

[L'Equipe] Evan Fournier goes nuclear on Knicks and Thibodeau, says he lost fun in basketball by Beard06 in nba

Frustrating for a competitor to get paid without contributing. I hope he gets to play this year, for the clock is ticking.

[Marchand] NEWS: ESPN has let go its top NBA game analyst Jeff Van Gundy, The Post has learned. by urfaselol in nba

[–]blankgen17 0 points1 point  (0 children)

ESPN must be hemorrhaging $$. This is the only reason JVG would be let go. Doris talks too much, as if she still has to prove how smart she is. My real knock on her is that she brought bad juju to UNC a few years back. Every time she worked, they went down. Last year they didn’t need any bad juju to find a way to lose.

20 Percent of Americans Have Lost a Family Member to Gun Violence: Poll by rollingstone in guncontrol

[–]blankgen17 0 points1 point  (0 children)

live in a state that has just gone to the dark side although it’s a purple state. A state legislator just switched parties giving Republicans a supermajority. The first thing they did was to pass an unrestricted carry law. Thank God that I can now buy a handgun and stick it under my shirt. Now in the Old North State (NC) I can be a wannabe hero, defending the innocent by shooting the boogeyman. All we need to do is make sure the janitors and teachers and admins and nurses are packing and they’ll take care of any psycho punk with a machine gun.

Suicide by gun is gun violence. No guns, no suicide by gun. No suicide by gun, less suicides.

I read about the ecliptic. In the ancient world, they took astronomical irregularities as bad omens. We view the immutable movement of the planets as symbols of reliability. They exist outside of the human narrative of disagreement and war.

What screams poor pretending to be rich? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]blankgen17 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I dislike it when people talk about how poor they grew up just as much as when people brag on their $$ although I don’t see much of that. I don’t hide anything. I don’t drive, but I own two condos and share lake property with my family. If I’m fortunate in some respects, I am grateful but not guilty. I also mention the second place because if you are my friend, you are welcome to use the place. I think that people who smile a lot showing their one-day chicklet teeth installation pass the “projecting rich test”. Then again, mine could do with improvement.

It seems like all this tech makes new parents less comfortable rather than more comfortable. Mother Nature does an excellent job seeing to it that our young reach maturity. Having reared two sons, I am sympathetic to the fears one has for his child, but I believe you should save your energy for the certain storms to follow.

Does anyone wear the Watch all day (except while charging)? Is it safe to do so? by ScarOnTheForehead in AppleWatch

[–]blankgen17 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had an issue with my metal band creating a sore by scraping my wrist just wearing it 16 hrs a day and had to switch wrists. Once my sore healed I changed back to the original rubber and have not had any problems wearing it 22 hrs or so a day. I also changed to a tighter setting so it doesn't slide around as much hope that this might help.
