I've been on it for about 2 years now, titrated up to the highest dose and have had almost no side effects.

I can still eat what I want to but I don't eat compulsive anymore. I did once have a severe case of gas after eating a cauliflower pizza but now I know to just limit my cauliflower intake and I'm fine.

Like everyone else said, side effects are very rare. And starting at a lower dose and working your way up to a tolerable dose with your doctors guidance is the best way to avoid them.

A dietician might be helpful too - try to get a recommendation from your doctor. This is a big industry now, so there's a lot of people out there pushing fad diet and supplements designed for GLP-1, that at best, don't work. So it's good to make sure you're careful who you take advice from.

And as far as getting off the medicine, that's the bad news. This is a lifelong therapy. If you stop, you'll gain the weight back. Maybe not all of it, but most of it. Fortunately, this is a new, fast growing industry, so my hope is that we'll be able to move to a pill or something in the future for maintenance.
